Kucinich Opposes Pelosi's HR 3962 Private Insurance Mandate

Take heed republicrats, wealthcare reform is not a liberal or conservative issue. Both parties are guilty of selling out to private insurance companies. Politicians should be required to dress like race car drivers displaying their Big Pharma, Big Insurance and Big Banking sponsors on their jackets

Do police officers, firefighters and teachers qualify as socialists? So why isn't medical care a government run, not for profit system as well? At the very least a reform bill should include the Kucinich amendment allowing states to decide for themselves on a single payer plan, without facing litigation from private companies.

    • voted up. Its amazing how many people are on the partisan bandwagon for this "reform" is beyond me. I believe a person would support legislation requiring them to be sent to the sun in a rocket if the president had a "D" or "R" next to their name. In any struggle in history a compromise has never been the goal. The american revolution, the civil war, women's suffrage, civil rights, child labor. Just imagine if those people compromised with the opposition on those issues and now here we are lazy, busy with work (or lack of), and we can only hope we get a shitty plan for blue cross.

      It goes like this:
      me: this plan sucks
      other: but obama is changing the system
      me: no its a plan for the healthcare industry
      other: but its the best we can do
      me: thats not good enough:
      other: republicans suck and are dumb
      *at this point i'm ignored completely.

    • You are a very kind man Dennis Kucinich. The system is corrupt from the top down. I know administrators, doctors, nurses, PTs and PTAs who should all loose their licenses. The health of people is not really their concern. Politics, control and money is the name of their game.
