The suspect in the Fort Hood shootings gave a presentation in 2007 saying the military should allow Muslim soldiers to opt out of fighting Muslim enemies, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who allegedly killed 13 people and wounded 42 Thursday at Fort Hood Army post in Texas, delivered the presentation as part of his medical training at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital in Washington, the Post reported.

"It's getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims," he said during the PowerPoint presentation before his supervisors and other mental health staff members, according to the paper.

The presentation, titled "The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military," made mention of suicide bombers, "offensive jihad," the Taliban and Osama bin Laden, the Post reported.

The presentation concluded with one recommendation, according to the Post: "Department of Defense should allow Muslims [sic] Soldiers the option of being released as 'Conscientious objectors' to increase troop morale and decrease adverse events."

    • The more that comes out about this guy's past, the worse it looks for those that ignored it.... its a shame most people will ignore this as well......

While I mourn the soldiers who did die because of this, it does not justify hating this man or his religion. It seems more the fault of the beurocracy avoiding this man on every level........

tell that to the families of the victims his own actions justify the death penalty and nobody knew he would go on a killing spree in the name of god or whatever religion he claimed hate doesnt help but it is completely justified after all religion is full of hate ...if you disagree perhaps you should read the bible or the koran full of hate

Did this in any way support the actions of the shooter?? No.......

All it did was detail how our own Homeland security failed not only these soldiers who were killed, but all American citizens in failing to prevent this attack.....
