“I thought much today about dying … and the thin thread that keeps me alive in this mortal sphere. Fortunately, I have faith in God and belief in a life hereafter. The prayer I hold in my heart is to be ready – prepared to eventually meet my Maker. Today, I’ve inched a little closer to that reality.” – Reid

Hey Reid
Good luck with the diabetes. I'm 63, I don't yet have diabetes, but its a future possibility. And for sure people like me would never think that "you brought this on yourself". I would suggest you not think that way. I think many people and doctors too like to think that we're in controll and make us feel guilty for being sick. Sometimes we have some influence but often we're just along for the ride. I've been exercising/dieting/club cycling/competitive racing cyclist/low calories-98%vegie etc for over 20+years. And I too have somewhat high sugar. Not as high as yours. But Its not you. I know super fat out of condition people with low blood sugar? How's that? Anyway hang in there--these are not better days, but they're still days. Try to accept it, like yourself and go on.
