A man classified as a sexually violent predator broke the rules of his release from a state hospital by taking a photo of a woman’s legs with a cell phone camera and being dishonest with his treatment providers, authorities said.
Matthew Hedge, 46, was arrested last week at a trailer near Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility where he had been allowed to live under heavy supervision since April.
According to a letter from Liberty Healthcare, which monitors sexually violent predators throughout the state, Hedge admitted last week during a polygraph examination that he took pictures of his female driver’s legs without her knowledge about two months ago.
Hedge said the woman’s legs “looked sexy” and admitted he used the image for sexual purposes. He said he later deleted it.
According to the letter, Hedge also admitted he watched television shows, such as women’s volleyball, that sexually stimulated him, a violation of the terms of his release.
