    • The D.E.A. is totally out of order making any statement about marijuana safety. That is not their job. They should just do what they are told, to enforce and shut-up. No more pot busts by those jack-a-napes.

    • My main disappointment... is that Jon Stewart, as big of balls as he's got, has yet to really tackle the sad comedy that is our failed war on drugs, and the one drug that should never have been included, yet turned into the main focus of the war.

      Billion upon billions of dollars spent, billions of lives disrupted or destroyed... all for what???

      Let's all hope the AMA does proper research and not more like that of the absurdly biased Dr Heath's 1974 rhesus monkey study... and can we please consult with others who have had some good results, maybe rehash the findings of the Shaffer Commission?

    • There HAS been research! SHITLOADS of research! Is everyone forgetting about the Shaffer Commission under Nixon... the one he ignored in order to defend an "appearance" of being hard on drugs... the religious right would never support legalization, no matter how much "research" showed it was safe.

      And what about the countless studies that have been done in other countries? Spain has just completed some pretty profound medical cannabis studies with nothing but good news....

      Really... doesn't anyone know how to use Google? Someone needs to round up a list of links to published studies and email it to Lou Dobbs. He seems like he's ready to talk rationally about the subject.
