Frustration among Mexicans over President Felipe Calderon's inability to stem drug violence is spawning acts of vigilantism. Local officials and average citizens are taking it upon themselves to stop the violence in their neighborhoods

    • i think that it's necessary for these citizens to start being vigilantes, the government hasn't been doing what's necessary to keep them and their families safe. But turning and rioting against the police is a little counter-productive, now the police have to focus on drug cartels and riot control. I think they just need some sort of legit mexican dog the bounty hunter haha.

    • Having read the story, it doesn't surprise me that the people would behave so violently towards these criminal organizations.

If you live in an area that consistently fails to offer you protection, fails to root out corruption, and fails to help revive a dying economy, chances are you'd have a fit against the people causing this problem too.

It's going to be a hell of a lot worse before anything starts to improve, and I would suggest that these drug lords and criminal take the que that the nation is generally pissed off at them, and that no matter how powerful you are, you and your gang are no match to a nation of people angry at you. I'd also suggest to the president that he get his s**t together before the people start to look at him as well.
