The couple left the foster children, ages 14 and 15, outside in the cold, drizzling weather while they took their two biological children to dinner and to watch movies, according to a report by Owasso Officer Lem Mutii.
According to the report, Owasso police officers arrived at the couple's residence to find a juvenile female sitting outside on the ground, shivering and shoeless at about 11:04 p.m. Her brother was in the backyard in an open air fort.
The girl “stated that they hadn’t done anything wrong to be locked outside the house, and that this was a regular occurrence,” Mutii says in his report. The report also indicated the children had been asked to leave the residence at about 4 p.m. when the parents left with their biological children.
All the doors and windows of the house were locked, Mutii said.

I am pro choice. I believe it is a personal decision for people to make based on their circumstances. Yes some women have children although they do not want to be mothers. This is selfish, I agree. But what about the children whose parents were in a tragic car accident, or perhaps lost in 9/11. It is simple minded to associate foster children with poor parents that should have had abortions. Many children in this country simply fall into unfortunate situations. And for the parents that make poor choices, just remember nobody dreams to be the homeless, crack addicted, selfish, pathetic excuse for a parent. I am not their judge. It is our job as a society to make sure this isn't happening to children that are already victims. So I ask everyone if they are willing to change the system. How..ask yourself is there room for one more. Though there may not be room in some homes, many of us kind-hearted, loving MOTHERS can fit one more.

Abortion doesn't solve the problem!!! The children are already here. I'm sure it is people like you who make their lives hell, looking at them as if they are wasting air and should not have been born. WOW

Two more people are part of corrupted federally funded industry. Where are those who really care about others?
Thank you for posting the picture of a female abuser along with her husband. Too often women abusers do not appear in the media. - 2 years ago

Yeah, the media has a great tendency to put a man to the crime. Media doesn't show of women felons much. Though usually in a court setting, and not shackled or restrained. But in proper civilian clothing sitting with her attorney... Thank you for putting a picture with the criminal child abuser.

We dont know how close or far away the neighbors were.....
We also do not know why these children were taken from their biological parents.... To be honest many children are needlessly taken from their parents and/or next of kin laws are routinely ignored in favor of foster placement. This is all because SS Title IV-E determines their budgets based on activity and the agencies err on the side of their funding rather than the interests of the children......

Flame me all you want, but abuse like this makes the case for early abortion. It's apparent these kids are not wanted. If more irresponsible baby makers had abortions, a lot of needless suffering would be avoided. Children who are unwanted by their bio parents and their foster parents would not be suffering permanent psychological damage. It's more humane to abort a clump of cells than to subject unwanted kids to such abuse and neglect. A lot of foster parents are out to make a dime anyway at the expense of helpless children. I'll bet these abusers are church-going 'Christians' too. Hypocrates.

MadCatter:
Hello MadCatter, I'm a humble, yet very proud Christian. I know I am far from perfect, as there is only one person who ever was, Jesus. That is why I need him daily.
Anyone can say they are a "church going Christian/Christian". I hear a lot of it in the business world. Used as a plight as to portray themselves as someone of good intentions, trust worthy, and a good hearted citizen. But when face to face with such people? They are cruel, selfish, and could care less. And yet, they may go to "church" and play holier than thou. Amongst other people, they simply shine them on. To be a Christian, it must be on a personal level.
I am a Christian, for it is the label put on me due to the fact my faith, love, and praising a heavenly father, and through Jesus, my Savior. I have accepted and fully believe that his son, Jesus, in fact died for us all. That Jesus took the punishment for our sinful nature. He then rose from the dead. I am ever so thankful.
Being a Christian, is to strive to be Christ-like. To which this only can apply to a personal level. To read and practice what God's word says. Not just when felt like it, but daily. I myself have not always done so. In fact, most times I don't. I do not go to church on a regular basis. But I should, and I aught to. I need to. Though I realize going or not going to church does not make me better or less of a Christian. However, I am missing out on the fellowship, friendship, and to be with other people striving to be Christ-like.
On a very personal level... Sure, people judge me. I am not a "perfect person". It is our nature to be selfish, judge others, get ticked off if wronged and want revenge. I am human, and I know I've done the same. But when I realize I am doing so, I ask forgiveness...not just by the person I might have offended, but also to Jesus. Yes, even my own carnality can get the best of me, and I fall flat on my face every time. I'm not a failure, though I do have bad days just like anyone else. I will never murder, nor intentionally hurt someone. I am not above reproach, nor better than the person next to me. I would rather get to know that person, help him or her out if I could. To let that person know that Jesus loves them. As Jesus has blessed me to sustain my life and fulfill such necessities, I would want to share that blessing to a person who might need it. Though good intentions, natured, and deeds doesn't get me to heaven, no. But only through Jesus. And, many people miss that mark.

MadCatter I completely agree. There are too many flaws in our adoption and foster care system to feel that it would always be the safest option for a child.
I am not saying we should all have abortions, but this is a serious part in the decision making of the parents that we need to think about as well. - 2 years ago

I call bullshit - it's not the kids' fault - let them live with someone who gives a damn - the foster partents are the ones to blame - maybe you should have been aborted - how does it feel?? How do you think those kids feel when someone says that about them?? A-HOLE!!

I really hope the court doesn't 'go easy' on these two in the interest of keeping their biological children from having to stay with relatives. In actuality, this is really aimed at the female as I reckon the court would be more inclined to show here l leniency due to the aforementioned.

Not just in the rain....... But at wee hours of the night, when the temperature has increasingly dropped, and left these children vulnerable to cold injuries.

WHAT?
Where were the neighbors? I would let those kids in. When I know there are foster children around I'm going to say hi to them and be nice to them so that if anything wrong goes on that they know they can ask for help.
Though this one time there were foster kids living across the street and they were the spawn of all devils from every religion that has wicked spirits.....

Your intentions are admirable, indeed. I feel and would do the same for a hurting child. In a heart beat. However, as a male? Our legal system makes it way to easy to retaliate against men, and specially white males. You see, if anyone wanted to... Your ex-wife/gf, a vengeful neighbor(more so if a woman calls)... Can call police suspecting you as a pedophile. Without due process of law, or your side of the story? As a male, you'd be arrested on the spot... No trial, no investigation(as a woman would receive if accused, prior even being arrested if it were to actually happen). You would be automatically suspected as a pedophile. However, all the while, your absolute intention would be to help these children. The truth would be in your corner, speak loudly and most evident for you of your good intent. Your noble and heart felt deeds as a good Samaritan for children, would be turned against you. You think I'm joking? Review your county/city penal codes, and the VAWA. You will find that most laws target men as the assailant, and without due process of law.

Nah, I'm well aware of how the laws are stacked against men in this situation. Women fight for equality and then ignore where they are not treated equal because it doesn't help them look good.
