The Largest Street Gang in America

KSirys
How many more times are we going to see cops abuse their power and get away with the same excuse? How can we, as tax payers, continue this if no one is going to police them? How come the President talks big when someone he knows gets abused "Harvard Professor Gates" but doesn't act the same way when kids are getting arrested and beat up for no reason?

I know this country has problems and rouge cops are not the President's first concern, but there has to be someone in our Government that has seen these videos and wonder, why are we still letting cops get away with half the crap they do?

I would like your opinion on this, because there's nothing educated to say when cops abuse their power and claim self defense when they beat, taser or shoot someone that's on the ground or handcuffed already.

Let me know...

PS, please look at the 3:55 mark on the video and tell me what you think...

    • re. beebopcop's comment "no one has researched the other side of any of these stories" - are we to presume he's serious, or is he just playing infantile troll games?

      Seriously, WTF?

'The other side of these stories?"

A young man tasered while he's lying on the ground with a broken back?
A young man lying on his stomach, handcuffed, and then shot dead?
A woman who calls for help and then is arrested and stripped naked?
A man injured after a car accident, in pain & physiological shock, tasered and shot dead?
A young woman doing her job in a fast-food takeaway maced & arrested by a pig who'd lied about the money tendered?
A fractious councillor tossed out of a public meeting by the chairman then crash-tackled by another pig and beaten about the head?
and on and on and on the ilst goes....

beebopcop no doubt feels entitled to protect the position he finds himself in, and to defend the lifestyle choice he's made, but he's totally wrong in assuming that he's got the right angle in this debate.

America's swift descent into a fascist society has been aided and abetted at every step by the legislators and their respective goon squads, who, increasingly as each year passes, resemble their jackbooted nazi predecessors at every level.

Here's a tip, beebopcop sonny-jim, just because your pack a pistol and have some sort of state-sanctioned authority to virtually do as you please when it comes to your interactions with others in the community doesn't mean you're 'right'. It just means what it says, that you've been gicen a licence to behave like an assehole. And if you so choose to behave like an assehole, then, statistically, you'll probably accept the opportunity.

To broadbrush the commenters here as 'liberal losers' says more about your attitude than it does about those who've taken the time to comment. Similarly, "open your Obamaized eyes" - the trend toward fascist control in the states was not begun on Obama's watch, you ignorant tool. Bush is on record as saying he wished he could have been a dictator at the helm. Virtually all of your leaders have occupied their offices and left the country worse off at the end of their time.

Fact, anyone with a conscience and heart that's not been totally anaesthetized and dulled would never choose to pull on a uniform and gun and spend their days monstering their fellow citizens.

Jesus wept. You pricks would have made Caligula proud. Fair dinkum!

I confess that I did not watch this film and cannot comment on it's contents. Evidently, there are some acts by bad officers that are without excuse. Now, before you take off on me not watching the film, hear me out. I am responding to just one more thread about bad cops as I do on several web sites. I doubt this film is any different from the others I have seen. Throw the baby out with the bath water. Kill them all and let God sort them out. I'd bet a years pay, which isn't much, that if you need one of us SOB cops tonight that you will call one. Well, hell, I don't know maybe you should call a crack dealer. I also bet that if you slap your wife or boyfriend around and she/he calls the cops, you will be very kind and humble trying to keep your sweet ass out of jail.
I find myself in no "position" that I do not want to be in. I choose to be here and do my job correctly. I am not made a man by my badge, I am the man that supports the badge and it's authority. You might be surprised to find that I defended The Constitution for ten years in the military. You might not know that the oath of a law enforcement officer is pretty much the same as the oath for military service. You might be surprised to know that I am a member of "Oath Keeper". I have never violated the Constitutional rights of another, yet you color me as a jack booted Nazi.
You talk a hell of a game there "sonny-jim"....sheesh....but I wonder what it is you have done for your country and it future, besides spouting off armchair commentary.

      re; your comments...

"I confess that I did not watch this film and cannot comment on it's contents. "

Yet you felt entitled to ctiticise those who had watched and commented, without knowing what they were commenting about. Not very smart of you to do that, is it? Smacks of biased predjudice, I'd say. If you call yourself a good cop, and you're operating on the basis of prejudice and bias, think what the bad cops are like - like you, only 100 times worse.

"I'm the man who supports the badge and it's [sic] authority"

You're clearly not a very well-educated person, or reflective about the position you've chosen for yourself in this life. The argument you employ to defend yourself is framed within a moral and ethical vacuum, and has also been trotted out over the years to justify the behaviour of those who act as the strongarm defenders of fascist regimes, so it's not exactly a bullet-proof defence of one's actions to say "...I support the badge." Hiding behind the badge and acting as if wearing it can justify any actions is an appalling position to adopt in respect of public behaviour.

"You might be surprised to find that I defended The Constitution for ten years in the military."

You've been gulled, old son. Sorry to say this, but you were conned and sucked in by the arch-hypocrites acting on behalf of the American military-industrial complex. Defending the constitution? What a load of horse-shit! America's current economic/financial/political/military complex is engineered and manipulated by pathocrats within the highest levels of political and financial life, the inner circles, if you will. Wars and conflicts are cynically engineered, fabricated and foisted on the unsuspecting public as a necessary corollary to defend your 'freedom and constitution'.
I'm not surprised you were an ex-military person. Guns, violence, insensitive acquiescence of a "superior's" injunction to do thusly is what you get when you've conned and brainwashed to the degree that you have. American police forces have ever more insidiously modelled themselves on military institutions over the past 20-30 years or more. Anyway, as HST used to say, you've bought the ticket, so take the ride.

"I have never violated the Constitutional rights of another, yet you color me as a jack booted Nazi."

Do you really expect me to believe you? I'm sure you never intended to end up in the unenviable situation you now find yourself in, but let's face it, you're a cop, and the peer pressure from fellow cops is a pretty strong reality, yes? You've already demonstrated your unthinking willingness to express predjudice & bias. It's only a slight tilt to find youself violating anothers' rights. Cops are notorious rule-benders when it comes to fitting someone up or acting in a way designed to advantage themselves. So maybe you've never shot dead an unarmed & shackled person or tasered & shot an injured man or a kid lying on the ground with a broken back, but the very fact that you admit to having spent ten years in the mlilitary and have chosen to continue to wear a gun in civilian life speaks volumes about your attitudes towards your fellow Americans, and others - if you served in one of the occupying forces in the middle-east.

Anyway, good luck to you. I don't envy you or your life, and no disrespect meant, just because you've chosen to be a cop doesn't necessarily make you an arsehole, but statistically you're in a vulnerable bracket for that distinction.

I don't live in America and I'm very grateful for that fact, your society is a mess and is getting messier by the year, your politicians are fools and puppets of Big Business, your War on Drugs program is a failure, a farce, and an appallingly cynical waste of public resources and ruiner of young peoples' lives, your country's continual war-mongering and interfering in other nations has lost you the credibility and respect you once enjoyed, & the rest of the world wishes America would just shut its doors and go away.

    • OK, shocking news, there are bad cops out there. More shocking news, no one has researched the other side of any of these stories. Even more shocking news, no one has posted a video of all the good cops out there and what WE do. Thats right, I'm a cop...and a damn good one! I take more shit from people before 9:00 AM, from liberal losers like you than you will get in a life time. Even when you need help, we will come, and more than likely it will be a good one. We hate the bad ones too, and we get rid of them as quick as we can. But open your Obamanized eyes and seek out the entire story. Search the web for the abuse that cops take. Search the web for the officers that risk their lives and put themselves and even their families last. Well, perhaps...that would be an inconvenient truth.

      Beebob

You got me all wrong. My dad was a cop. My brothers a cop. My cousins a cop. I have voted conservative for years. When a cop forgets what his job is and starts doing all that we saw in the video then he is out of control. When two or more cops support those actions like we saw in the video then we have a team of people not doing what they were hired to do. I spent too much time walking through the jungles of southeast asia defending the rights of hardworking citizens to let a bunch of storm troopers that think it is their country and that they can do whatever they want to the rest of us.

Sir, you have my upmost respect and thank you for your service. I hope that all your cop relatives stay safe. I hate a bad cop and I am tired of the pain that they cause those of us who do the job right. I take it personally. Please know that I mean do disrespect to you, I'm just getting tired of being beat up. I'm getting old and its getting close to the time to get out of the kitchen.

    • Cops are much like the military today. Recruitment standards have reached an all-time low. Cops lie in court routinely with impunity and always have. Police virtually always conduct internal investigations when one of their own kills or maims someone, the infamous 'blue wall'. Training is fast and dirty. In many jurisdictions it is a three week course. Cops are trained to believe they are a military force and the public is the enemy.
Police forces even in the smallest towns have their own paramilitary assault forces and crowd-control torture weapons.
Tasers are every where and people are being shocked by these weapons who are not even seen to be resisting, many of them killed. In fact, one person dies every week in the US from the application of tasers and the numbers are rising.
There is no question this is a huge problem.

    • in response to lucky: how can you justify even one felonious act in that video? but yet you defended the entire thing! yea, fuck you and your pig family!

I don't flip burgers you ignorant swine! just like a pig you rush to "judgement" and speak as if you know what your saying. typical, how could I expect any less?

there's no exception to the rule, every cop lies... fact...

it's ignorant and socially blind people like you that allow thugs to get away with what they do, commit crimes under the color of law... and get away with it...

    • @lu7cky, you have your opinion, the rest of us have ours. I'm not going to sit here and debate your issues with people here because you can't understand them. But I do support the video and support most of what everyone says here. (not so much about killing cops, my ex is a cop)

I don't have a record, I have great connections in the city, state and with cops, but there are more bad cops than good cops in most cities. I don't need respect from cops or anyone else, but I get it because of what I've been able to accomplish. I don't work for burger king and I make more than everyone here combine, half the time.

YES, there are good cops and maybe your father was one... but you can not sit there and think that this video was made with footage of the last 20 yrs. This footage, with the exception of 2 or 3 videos, is footage from the last 2 yrs alone.

You and your family might have been the exception, but there's no reason for the shit cops have done and let me point out to you what they have done, since you think the video has no relevance for how we feel...

      1. (first video)cop tasers a 16 yr old kid, 19 times when he's on the ground. Dies the following year.
      2. Two cops tackle a biker driving through a parade for no reason.
      3. 7:07... Cop tackles and pepper sprays a 16 yr old because he made a mistake, not her.
      4. 14:00... Cop shoots a young man in the back, while he's on the ground and not making any gestures to think he's in danger. Kid dies several weeks later.
      5. 16:40... Two cops taser and shoot a man, that was just in a car accident, sitting on the ground because they felt he was a danger to them. He was burned from head to toe and didn't want to move. The cops told him to get on the ground and put his hands behind his back, while burned and in shock, based on what the cops say. They shoot him 6 times, because he didn't want to lay on the ground, burned.

I can go on and on and on... Just because your family was the exception, it doesn't justify the rest of the PIGS..

Are all cops bad? No, Are they all good? No,
Are there more bad ones then good ones? YES!! Everyday, they show it by their action..

    • Self-respect and accountability go a long way to preventing these things from happening to you, yourself and I. Cops have to approach every situation as a possible bad one, they MUST be defensive.
Yes, there are always a few bad apples in the barrel but a majority are good, law abiding and respectful people. I thank God for them every day.

    • since I have no fear of speaking my mind and no paranoia about some non existent list I will say, with no doubt in my mind , that most of you are pathetic whiney shits with zero respect for anything, likely the reason you are getting no respect. My father was a cop, I have friends and family members that are currently members of the police force. They do an impossible job under the most dangerous of circumstances and do it to the best of thier abilities. True there are a few men and women out there on the job that are not fit for the duties they are responsible for, but for the most part they are working men and women, just like the rest of us. To call them all pigs and to talk about killing them is sickening to say the least.
Try doing your lame ass job flipping burgers with knowledge that you could be killed at any moment, it has top be stressfull. And while I don't condone the use of force noted in this video I can understand it. Lives are on the line everytime they put on that uniform; their lives and the lives of thier fellow officers who only want to get to go home at the end of the day.
Next time you see a cop you should thank them, because it is ungrateful dicks like you that are the first to call them when shit goes wrong.

    • its true, people are afraid to speak up. everyone will comment about the killings in juarez and say how bad the conditions are and the we, as Americans need to stand up for them.

WTF? why cant we stand up for our own people that these pigs abuse everyday? why cant as many people comment on this disgusting issue as the mexican violence?

its this sort of cowardness that promotes the violence from these gang members. we as Americans need to stand up and push back against these unruly, uncontrollable thugs.

ANYONE of these innocent people could one day be your family member.

its really disturbing that fellow Americans are still afraid to speak their mind.

true, obama isnt going to get involved.

      oprah wont either...

      why?

    • As you can tell, 185 people have viewed this and yet, we only have 9 comments, why?

      1. They are scared they are going to be put in some type of "hate america" list
      2. They rather hide than speak their mind and
      3. Some people are stupid and think this shit doesn't happen.

If you look at the whole video and see what's on, you will see how some people are just outraged. Why aren't we talking about this? why isn't Oprah talking about this? why is the President talking about this? Because they know they would get harassed (not the President) any time a cop sees them.

That's the problem with this country, that cops can be dicks to you, but when you want to defend yourself, your video, isn't good enough. Unless you have millions of dollars, you're guilty as soon as the cop says you're guilty.

We live in a world were people are afraid and think, by not talking about this issue and not putting their comments on something like this, that it would go away eventually. Why would you think that way??? This is happening every day!! Are you waiting for this to happen to you and then seek help?

Look at 80% of the celebrities and sports figures, and ask yourself, how was their health before they started promoting breast cancer or any other disease? They were just fine! but when they got something or when a family member they cared for got something, that's when they would come out and say, "Hey! I need your support, because I believe in this" yeah, now you do...

We need your voices current folks! Even if this hasn't happen to you, look at what's going on! and comment on the video! Lets make this news!!

    • I've been censored by current for what I'm going to say again: the only good cop is a dead cop because the dead ones can't tell lies...

it's ONLY police misconduct IF it's caught on video...

I have a huge disdain for cops. I've personally been handcuffed, maced, beaten and robbed by a cop. all in one incident!

and when we rely on cops policing cops, we shouldn't be suprised when this shit happens.

Obama didn't step in because it was his old friend as much for a white/black issue.

today cops don't see much color beyond blue, it's time they start to see some red. some accountability.

they are a gang, I've been told this by them...

for anyone willing to promote violence on cops, I'm down for...

the cop credo should read as follows:

      to enforce
      by force
      with force

My only hope is one day their rotting stinking corpses will line the streets full of bullet holes. I have no pity on them. When they are killed in action the only thought that comes to mind is....where are the buried, I need to take a piss.
Oe day their badges will act as targets. They will be in my sights and I wont hesittate to pull the trigger. FUCK THE POLICE
