The day has finally come. President Obama will go one-on-one with a FOX News reporter, Major Garrett. However, the format is quick and impersonal. Major Garrett tweeted this morning, “I will interview POTUS on camera Wed am here in Beijing. 4 other networks will too. 10 mins per. Many had asked. Can say now.”

Last month President Obama compared FOX to talk radio. "I think what our advisers have simply said is that we are going to take media as it comes; and if media is operating basically as a talk radio format then that's one thing, and if it's operating as a news outlet that's another. But it's not something I'm losing sleep over,” the president said.
David Axelrod, White House Senior Advisor, has said that FOX is “not really a news station.” President Obama has also stated, “I think it's fair to say that I don't always get my most favorable coverage on Fox, but that's part of how a democracy is supposed to work. We're not all supposed to be in lock step here.”
