our society is still living in the Victorian Era where women are virtuous and men have the potential to be dirty dogs and yet we are also in a post sexual revolution era that swung the pendulum too far to one side and is out of balanced. With this screwed-up cocktail of askewed morals and sexual repression/obsession, we're apt to believe a woman's story like this because it fits the stereotype of the helpless victim. the guilt of letting domestic abuse of previous times go by without criticism has made us overcompensate and condemn every male accused of such a crime without hearing the evidence first. Many males will equally condemn such accused men to try and show how they are not like those kind of guys and win brownie points but its really just another tactic to get laid.

This girl if she did fabricate the report (as it is we have absolutely no idea what really happened) should be punished for filing a false report and be sued for defamation of character.

Many understand the seriousness of the problem but where is the wide spread outrage? The only way to make changes is to call and express the concern and acquire about the resolution. How about calling the Dean of Students at 773-274-3000.

I've gotten to the point where I'm uncomfortable being alone with women I've just met. I know that when it comes right down to it I have no legal rights. If I'm accused I will be assumed guilty until I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt I'm innocent. Even If I prove my innocence I could easily be financial ruined, lose my job, lose friends and the respect of my family. I know that the women sitting next to me has the power to ruin my life and there is practically very little I can do to stop her.

Women used to worry about being sexually assaulted. Men have to worry about someone they may have never had sex with accusing them of assault years later. It's a fucked up world.

Stupid cunt. I hate bitches like this. It's probably one reason why I'm gay. I've had two false sexual harassment charges against me at work by women. I'm gay. When they found out I was gay, they dropped the charges. No man has ever done this kind of stuff to me

I attend this school and it's been very quiet as magnusdeus said. Not many even know of the incident. Not only are the police not charging her but the school is taking no steps toward punishment either. It's a joke, if you don't punish for false accusations you lose the validity of every accusation thereafter.

The police not filing a charge I can easily see happening, a city like Chicago they got bigger things to worry about than this. But the school not doing anything? That's ridiculous, she should be sanctioned with some sort of punishment. If i were the boys i'd go to civil court with it and file a lawsuit on the basis of slander.

The more women file false reports the less likely the real sexual assaults will be taken seriously. Men, be careful, the wrong date could end your future. Women can be vindictive and very dangerous. Drinking and hooking up could be the worst mistake you ever make. Take it slow, get to know a girl and even then, be careful. Wives are not made in 6 months, 1 year, or even 2, wait at least 3 years of becoming friends before getting married. Women can do a Dr. Jeckyl and Ms. Hyde on you in a heartbeat. Find your best friend and then marry her. If she's after your money when you date, she'll be after your money when you divorce. Women's liberation brought about some wonderful changes for women. But, it also changed some women in ways that aren't so wonderful. Some will be willing to destroy you just to get attention. Find the one that makes life better and watch out for the wackos, and they are out there. Believe me, I've found a few of them and I wasn't even looking.
