GREENWOOD, S.C. -- A 700-to 800-pound man died in the hospital on Wednesday after spending more than seven months confined to a chair in his home, according to documents from the Greenwood Sheriff’s Office.

      Well, the title describes what happened, so that is why it is what it is.

      It is "significant" because it is not something that happens every day since the way the man died. I wasn't really trying to make anyone laugh. I would have to say, yes, it is sad.

      I think the story about what happened to this man is very sad and I felt the need to share it. I really wasn't trying to poke fun.
