That is true and even more to the point, it's too bad the response to 9/11 was carpet-bombing and occupation instead of investigation, prosecution and punishment, which is historically proven to be the most effective measure in response to the threat of terrorism worldwide, instead of destroying the entire infrastructure of two nations and the killing maiming, detention of tens of thousands and the displacement of millions, fomenting generations of hatred and blowback for many generations to come.
Once a nation is committed to an occupation of a foreign country there is no short path to extrication. The US is committed to not one but two. - 2 years ago
