Gee, I'm sorry that there are consequences for promiscuous sex that you don't approve of. I wish it could ALL be blamed on those mean old religious freaks, taking everyone's fun away from them, those mean old people who see that condoms are NOT foolproof, even though you WISH they were. Gee, wouldn't it be nice if those old busy-bodies would just get out of everyone else's business and let them do it whenever they want with whomever they want? It's all their fault that there are consequences, and it's not faaaiiirrr to those to those who make their choices that there might be consequences they might not like. After all, NO ONE chooses STDs or unwanted pregnancy, DO they?

And the only ignorance I see being spread in schools is the lie our kids are being fed that if they use a condom they will be SAFE from everything. You can deny it till the cows come home but the ONLY way to ABSOLUTELY prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies is abstinence.

No, I think you've got it wrong. If you look at what's popular in entertainment like TV, movies, music, etc., I think you'd find that sex and murder are both very much glorified.

And, surprise surprise. abstinence only areas have the highest rates of STD's and teen pregnancy. I wonder why?

And in Nevada, the only state with legal prostitution, STD problems were wiped out overnight because prostitutes are forced to pass medical exams to obtain their licenses. And all of this is done in legally designated areas so as not to disturb the prudes among us.

No one has even mentioned abstinence only but it's a good place to start. You can tout your condoms all you want but condoms are not foolproof, as they would like us to believe, not by a long shot. The TRUTH is, whether you like it or not, the only way to assure that you will not acquire STDs (or pregnancy) is to not do it. The idea that people can be promiscuous with impunity is a farce, a pie-in-the-sky wannabe left wing lie and dream. The consequences of a promiscuous lifestyle are not a right wing punishment, they're just a fact of life, like it or not.

You're right, norm137. Our entire society permeates sex, it's everywhere. We're a society that is obsessed with sex. We see sex as the most important thing in the whole world. Most countries don't even come close to us in their views. Our kids are becoming sexual at ayounger and younger age. Now, even prepubescent kids try their best to be "sexy". What on earth have we come to, and where in hell are we headed?
