An Air France A380 aeroplane has touched down at New York's John F Kennedy Airport for the first time.
The flight from Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport was the first time a European airline had made the transatlantic trip with an A380.
The 380 passengers on board bought their tickets through an auction organised last October to benefit humanitarian projects sponsored by Air France.
Passengers bid a total of 300,000 euros ($450,000) to travel on Flight AF 380.
