Al Gore Published Photoshopped Images in "Our Choice"

With the increasingly discredited notion of man-made global warming crashing and burning on a daily basis, climate alarmists are being forced to accelerate their fearmongering to unprecedented levels. With the evidence failing to match up to the doomsday proclamations, Al Gore has turned to photoshop in order to make a CO2-choked earth look scary enough to sell his cap and trade scam.

The latest example of climate cult fakery comes in the form of the front cover of Al Gore’s new book, Our Choice; A Plan To Solve The Climate Crisis.

Shortly after the devastation of Katrina, Al Gore was busy making a correlation between hurricanes and global warming in an effort to drive home his claim that higher global CO2 emissions cause an increase in extreme weather events. The cover art for Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, features an image of a hurricane rising out of a smoke stack.

Seemingly underwhelmed that there have been no major hurricanes since Katrina, along with the fact that global hurricane activity is now at a thirty year low, Gore came up with an ingenious method of solving the problem of the lack of scary depictions of frightening hurricanes to display on his book – simply airbrush them in!

    • Are you kidding? They never read the books. They can't even debate the science. They only attack people baselessly. I have the book and it covers solutions like natural soil carbon sequestration, wind energy, solar energy, reforestation, etc. And it tells us how we get energy, how our way of thinking effects our environment, political stalemates, etc. So far I find it to be well researched, well written, and informative. This vendetta is so pathetic at this point.

    • The stretching of the truth from those that don't believe in global warming/climate change and that we are a big cause of it, is as bad as the "death panels" and women with breast not getting treatment under public option health care.
Talk about desperation....after years of denial by so many, the truth is coming to light and that light happens to be too bright for some.

    • You guys are REALLY stretching to maintain this "Global Warming is a Lie" mentality.

If you hate Al Gore so much, then why are you on his Company-Owned website, giving him money every time you post a thread like this?

    • From the book cover:

" When you unfold the cover, the image you see is the earth as it is today, with its deep blue oceans, rich soil, and green forests.

This side of the cover is an artist's rendering of an earth where unchecked global warming has wrecked havoc.

We are at a crossroads. We must choose which earth will be home to future generations."

To attack the cover is pretty desperate and only shows the jealousy of those who cannot stand that his books are effective and truthful. Refute anything in this book. GO AHEAD.

And all profits from this book go to the Alliance for Climate Protection. Try again.

    • Since when has a book cover been considered "factual" evidence? A book cover is both a selling point and an introduction. If there was a school book on physics with a man floating objects above his hands, you probably wouldn't complain about it claiming that it was photoshopped. You'd probably think, "Oh, that's a good visual way to get people interested in the book." Jebus cripes, it could have a picture of a unicorn on it, and it still wouldn't matter because the books content would still be valid or invalid based upon the science and message behind it.

Excuses are like assholes....everyone's got one and they all stink. Fact is, he manipulated evidence to prove his point. He is a fraud.

He is making money off lies, manipulation and fear mongering.

It. Is. A. Book. Cover. A book cover is a visual point of interest. Who the fuck cares if the book cover is a fictional representation? Maybe the photo of the book cover is edited to show what the Earth could look like from space in thirty years or so. Can you actually debate any of the material covered in the book instead of trying to argue an edited picture for the cover?

It's called fear mongering. Scare us into doing things based on his made up theories just so he can fatten his pockets.

If this was Sarah Palin's latest book cover...would this go as unnoticed by this community? Get over yourself already.

This is not a good example of scare tactics. If it were, then the book would have a claim, "This is an actual picture of the Earth!" This is a good example of a persuasive argument. It has shock value, graphical representation that everyone can understand, and it makes sense to people who are at a level capable of reading the book and understanding it.

If you want an example of a scare tactic, then look at the terror alert system that was created under the Bush administration. The only time the terror alert ever went up was when W's approval ratings went down. Then the terror alert went up for no reason what so ever, and people started approving him out of fear that the terrorists would attack again.

    • Apparently when you can't convince them with factual evidence, the next step is lying. Sadly, this man is profiting greatly from his efforts in evidence manipulation and fear mongering.
