I am a full-time student so reading this entire bill is REALLY going to take some time. However I am up to page 150 or so and figured I would pass along some more items that I have found:
-No Denial for preexisting conditions.
-Insurance rates can only be determined based on a standard set of items i.e. individual or family rates may differ, rates change by age but the rate cannot go over a certain limit in comparison to other rates and you can also be charged more for being a Tobacco user.
-No enrollment discrimination based on: Health Status, Medical Condition (including mental and physical), Claims experience, receipt of healthcare, medical history, genetic information, evidence of insurability (including conditions arising out of domestic violence) and disability.
-No waiting period for health insurance that lasts longer than 90 days.
And one very IMPORTANT clause which I shall paste WORD FOR WORD::
(1) IN GENERAL.—Nothing in this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) shall be construed to require that an individual terminate coverage under
a group health plan or health insurance coverage in which such individual was enrolled on the date of enactment of this Act.

So, if I don't tell them I'm a smoker then they can't really do anything about it because they can't get out of covering me for this pre-existing condition, right?
