Bart Police Puts Man's Head Through Window

Had he followed his training he would have simply handcuffed the man for his personal safety, and then evaluated whether he had probable cause to make an arrest. No one likes an asshole, but far too often an asshole that comes into contact with a bigger asshole, ends up being abused, while a population of cowards speculate on why the little asshole deserved it. To the cowards reading this, comment away, but best believe, you may be next.

Anyone with an eye, can clearly see, that this cop is in the wrong..I have worked with cops before, and many of them are scared and on drugs and alcohol...I quit my job for this very reason...Cops are paid to protect and serve...We pay their salary, and we are repaid, with disrespect, abuse and police brutality..

I see so you deal with drunks and druggies all day do Ya. When you deal with these types of people day in and day out then come back and tell me how you feel. I have had to deal with drunks and it is almost always a fight. His sister even said he has a mental problem that just goes to show he has a Preveis history of violence. You never know what a drunk is going to do when you add a mentaly challenged drunk to it who knows where it will lead??

what does day in and day out have to do with anything, you should know how to deal with somebody under the influence in a peaceful manner better then anybody. don't argue it, again it sounds like a justification for unnecessary violence. i really hope your not a cop

I'm sure you do, there are a lot of people who think cops have the right to hurt people, that's why they can do what they do. I've worked in the mental health field with drugs addicts, drunks, and plenty of people who suffer from mental illness, I have had to be the one who puts myself in harms way. But I was there to be professional and to help. When an officer overreacts , how does that fall into an officer's job description.
My advice to anyone who thinks it's ok not to be the better person? Be at peace with yourself, do some yoga, get some therapy, but don't let people poison you and make you react. That's just pathetic, plain and simple

Nope I'm not a cop I'm a career criminal. So tell me how many times have you been blind sided by a drunk? I know a lot of cops that will give anybody a chance to act like a responable adult. When dealing with drunks you never know when they are going to get hostile. so why give them a chance to hurt you or someone else? I'm willing to bet your a your a young kid that has not left home yet or you go to school? When you go out into the big bad world and live a little then maybe you will see the light. providing you live long enough.

So you have issues associated with trauma directly related to someone under the influence, I'm sorry for you. From a mental health perspective my advice would be to talk to someone about the feeling you have. It might work. Oh and maybe stop living a life of crime, the old saying, you are who you hang out with, well that would explain you getting beat up and such right? You might be surrounding yourself with criminal drunks.
Me? I am old enough to have experienced violence from police and drunks alike, void of self defense, it's all the same. It's people like you who sit on the sidelines advocating one form of violence to the next that helps perpetuate it. It's a disease. Man I'm glad I'm a Quaker :) - 3 years ago

Nope I don't sit on the sidelines. I don't drink any more because I (like the drunk in the video) got loud and wanted to fight anyone and every one. I see people like this all the time they think they are nine foot tall and bullet proof. They will be calm one minute and want to fight the next. Maybe you should become a police officer and reform them from within. Maybe you can do a ride along with your local police. Then maybe you will see what they go through on a daily bases. who knows you might see things in a diffrent light.

There is a saying, when you join the system to try to change it from within, it is the system that will in the end change you. I'm sure many people join law enforcement to make it better, to me it is a waste of time. Police can only be changed by the public. But I do not sit on the sidelines, I have worked with copwatch for the last decade, we document police interactions with the public and when we find violations we bring it to the people and we begin the process of accountability. You can google the video "These Streets Are Watching", I produced it in 2004. I strongly believe when police are accountable for their actions, their job will become a much safer one.
Look I'm glad your sober, it might have been you getting hurt the other night, either way you have to understand my position is not very radical, I believe in peace, and i expect the woman or man with the piece to be the better person. If a person cannot handle the heat, they need to leave the kitchen, there are many other occupations out there that are considered a better form of "public service" and they don't put people through half the stress.
