70 deaths on ward of shame: Patients neglected by lazy nurses in a filthy, blood-spattered casualty unit, says damning report

Dozens of patients died needlessly as a result of filthy conditions in an NHS hospital, a shocking report said last night.Appalling nursing care in Basildon University Hospital contributed to a mortality rate that was more than a third higher than the national average.

    • OMG!!! We all wondered how long it would take for someone to associate this story with what Obama is doing. LOL your comment was soooooooo predictable. Don't forget that story last year when a Brooklyn hospital allowed a patient to die in the waiting room....this followed by another waiting room death in LA. The UK is number 18 for healthcare anyway.France is Number 1 for healthcare, and it is also s o c i a l i z e d- oh my what a scary word

    • Are you sure this isn't meant to say Fazakerley Hospital in Liverpool?? because i lost two family members due to the staffs incompetance there, it's the worst most vile hospital i've been to where the staff are as thick as the walls! But then i suppose that could be any NHS hospital in Britain.
