On Black Friday, shoppers across America will set out in search of bargains on flat screen TVs, Verizon Droids, Snuggies and... guns? Only in South Carolina.

The Palmetto State is offering its residents a sales tax holiday beginning on Black Friday. For guns. It is the only two day sales tax holiday of its kind in the country.

    • That's all we need around here, more dubmass, poor red necks with more inexpensive guns. Come on down folks!!!! It's "Lee Harvey Oswald Friday" followed by " John Wilkes Booth" Saturday. Everyone be thankful!!! We live in a country where it's perfectly "ok" to spend a whole day over-eating. We can follow that up by spending two more days buying tax-free weapons to defend ourselves from the imaginary fears that Corporatist Crybabies seer into our feeble, sheepish brains. Let freedom ring the cash register. God Bless America........and Smith and Wesson's lobbyists.

      guns are a great investment. they've earned me a lot more money yearly than the interest on my bank account has, that's for sure.

      Gun hobbyist....,pussy,........All the same to me. If you are buying and selling guns to make money, then you are no better than a street thug drug dealer. You capitalize on peoples fears a the drug dealer preys on their addiction.

      hahahahaha. First of all, knowing I'm a gun hobbyist, I doubt you'd say that to my face. What makes me not a pussy is my control over my anger which makes it so I never use my guns unless necessary or if I'm at the range. I enjoy shooting and each person that's purchased a gun from me does as well (not to mention all guns sold are shipped to FFL dealers so the purchaser must go through a background check).

      Have you ever had experience with guns, or are your emotions just second hand knowledge? Because, to me, overly emotional illogical individuals are pussies. These are the individuals who are saved by gun owners when robberies or other crimes take place.

      How many times in your area has a registered gun owner committed crimes with their gun? I've never been arrested once and that's why I'm allowed to purchase guns. It's also why the people who buy guns from me can buy my guns.

      I don't hate you for your opinion, but maybe next time you could be clearer or insert some facts so this becomes more of a discussion and less of a name-calling fight.

      i would like to own a gun someday , probably just for home security , but its not at the top of my list , ther are a few things i need to learn ( control / maintenance )

      easy ban she... drug and gun dealers are not the enemy, muchless the buyers of such products. now i'm as happy as u r about these "dubmass rednecks" buying guns but only caus their able to buy legally what i cant since im in california.
