You cannot make the excuse "The Japanese were just doing what was done to them." That's complete bullshit and we both know it. I'm sure there were American soldiers who tortured and killed Japanese soldiers and that's terrible, but those atrocities weren't done on a large scale. Nothing done by American troops came close to what was committed in places like Nanking and Bataan. No one is trying to make excuses for the American soldiers who committed war crimes so stop doing it for the Japanese.

If you could go to Japan and China, and ask about what they think of the other nation... you probably will not hear alot of pleasant things about the other.

Their history amongst each other is old, but harsh... both nations were military-like, and both saw themselves as the greater. You can imagine two nations so close together like that, thinking the way they did, wouldn't be friendly to each other, either.
