Thank you edjoy.... this seems to possibly be this sheriff's undoing... they should all be arrested for this:
Yesterday, the day after Stoddard spent a night in jail, 19 sheriff's deputies scheduled to work security at the courthouse called in sick, throwing the day's court proceedings into disarray. The building also had to be evacuated after a phone-in bomb threat.

thank you all for the updates...... irregardless of what he "saw" on the paperwork, he had no right to even look at it. He is to stay at his post unless he is ordered otherwise by the judge or there is an immediate need for action in the court room. Lets just hope this is the thing that will bring down this counties practices and open the gates for a full investigation......

Pakazak he didn't apologize, so he lost his big opportunity to make this go away he's going to look good on a cross he built his own self. If they find out the judge is also a graduate of Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law it's going to look suspicious him pulling his tricks on two of em.
They'll start watching the judge to find out if her and Stoddard have been he'in and she'in too.

All I can say is that if something like this happened to me, the cop would be hard pressed to find work after I finished with his ass. Complements to the defendant and his attorney for keeping their composure.
Another example of an officer playing judge, jury and executioner. He should be charged with contempt of court, though given the Judge's attitude, that seems unlikely. - 2 years ago

Just another example of how the American Judicial system is seriouslly flawed and biased. The Judge is not doing the Job she was given and should be repremanded, I am not sure what should be done, but invasion of Privacy, illegal Search and Seize and tampering with evidence is serious crimes. The deputy should have been charged for stealing!!! the defense attourney should have called the city police to have the deputy charged and investigated. Internal Affairs would be a good start.

Can't say I blame you. But once you are standing in front of a judge flanked by a couple of deputies, there's not a ton of wiggle room for open contempt.
I am still stunned by what I saw this guy do. If I were the judge (presumably awake), I'd freak if I saw a deputy even nosing around anywhere near the defense table. he has no business even being within eye-shot range of those documents. - 2 years ago

For people that have never experienced court, I understand that you couldn't believe your eyes. welcome to the United States Justice System. I believe they call this the trickle down effect. Corruption starts at the top and trickles down to all communities. I use the Golden Rule as my law, and disregard the laws that are made every day that are placed to control. I've been caught up in their corruption and will be in contempt (disrespect) of court until there is change.

I love that he was reading documents that he had no business going through in the first place and came up with a bogus threat. This is bullshit of the highest order and yet he will not even apologize for illegally rifling through the defense attorney's documents. And isn't that harassment? The defendant was clearly no threat.

Well Gee sir, Im very sorry for my actions...... WTF!? He cant even say something like that?! Let alone that is a seriously bogus punishment for these actions. Sheriff's can not just do what they want and violate the laws they are vowed to protect. This action should call for immediate termination and for this man to never be allowed even a job as a security officer......
Then again if we actually punished these people, we may not have a police force left.....

The recording quality makes it difficult to understand the dialogue, but judging from what I can see, it appears that the defense attorney has significant grounds to demand that the court declare a mistrial. Her client may well be guilty as charged, but this violation, captured on tape, nullifies any further evidence the state may bring. What the hell were those deputies thinking?

MotherForTruth:
No, not exactly MotherForTruth. The deputies were using the attorney's body like a hedge row of shrubs to work behind her, knowing the judge was blocked from seeing what they were doing, so it wasn't done "right in front of her eyes". #2, the judge is suffering from deputy blindness (like Race blindness) by assuming they are never doing anything wrong at any time in her court.
What those deputies did working in tandem was an assault and contempt executed against the judge herself which looks like to be somewhat like rape. They "raped" the judge in her own court... taking advantage because they have come to understand her limitations.
The attorney is somewhat at fault and was also being raped the same way because the deputies took advantage of her being busy with her back turned toward them. I consider that what I just watched in that courtroom was a double rape of two upstanding women dressed in proper attire without taking off their clothes.
Jubal had it right when he said what they did was vile. It was very vile.
A quick solution would be to move the table where the documents were laid upon, moved up in front of the lawyer between her and the judge. That would prevent that from ever being done again.
The smaller deputy had a lesser "footprint" in the judge's visual view so he slipped in there first without raising her eyebrows. He placed himself in there as a kind of placeholder. Then he used a slight hand motion the other deputy understood to be calling him over if you watch the video closely you'll see it. By the small fellow putting his small body in the picture he got the judge accustomed to seeing his uniform's colors there, then he calls over the bigger deputy but she pays no never mind because in her mind she has already accepted the presence of the uniform close behind the lawyer as being "OK".
It's a classic criminal maneuver. Neither one of those fellows should ever be employed in any courtroom. They knew exactly what they were doing. I bet if anyone went back and replayed previous courtroom videos and found this again they would see the big guy never moves in first. Always the smaller guy, who of course is taking advantage by his good looks looking a good deal like the trustworthy Texas Ranger played for decades on TV by Chuck Norris.
I say he is taking advantage using his similarity to Norris by crossing his arms and baring his hairy muscled arms to the judge, which disarmed her as a woman to trust him implicitly. So, when the attorney raised a question as to what went on behind her she ran smack aground of the judge's raging hormones. The lady judge had little recourse but to reject the lawyer's every statement that crossed against Mr. Norris aka the Deputy.
Yep, what was done here was indeed extremely vile.

It gets even worse. The deputy stood back there til the judge began a litany of memorized instructions. He knew them by heart so he knew exactly the moment to begin his little walk over to the table. He times his steps to resonate with her speaking speed.

@Gravity_Man,
Maybe judge did not see what deputy was doing or maybe judge did now care to see it. Either way no deputy would openly display the corruption of the court if the judge would not allow such corruption in her court. If you watched the video you would notice that judge was not shocked by what just happen nor she was willing to discuss the matter. Why do you think that happen?

MotherForTruth:
The judge doesn't appear to be on drugs. My personal feeling is that she is showing contempt for a brunette. She's blond and identifies with a blond hair deputy. Blonds do that sometimes. But, the judge doesn't seem capable of responding to changing situations in her courtroom so in lieu of that what she does is she falls back on her quiver of standard answers no matter what happens. I think women should be able to do any job a man does, but unfortunately women take birth control pills that messes with their hormones and their systems.
A wrong birth control prescription or wrong dosage can cause women to have exploding capillaries in the brain. I'm very tempted to say that is what's wrong with this judge. Notice how her reaction time lagged on every response. For many years there were diet pills being sold that contained phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride. It also caused capillaries to explode, even killed some women. It's off the market now, maybe sold under lock and key at Dollar General. It's a great decongestant. I recognize the symptoms. Not too many years ago women's beauty and hair products contained lots of lead that would slide down the hair follicle shaft into the scalp.
Hmm, actually lead poisoning would come closer than either of the others. She's like in her own Dead Zone. When confronted with a crime happening right under her nose her stock response was to shush the brunette and treated her as if her complaint meant nothing. People suffering from lead do that they have to fall back on packaged answers.
Ms. Cuccia made a tactical error. She assumed her paperwork was under her control by being so close to her. They need to move the table up into the in-between area so all lawyers can have it under surveillance. When she was addressing the judge she dropped into the same state of mind people do when talking on their cellphone while driving.
The Deputy recognized the state of mind both of the judge & Ms. Cuccia. He used his un-drugged mental abilities to take advantage of them both.

MotherForTruth, I'm very concerned for the judge's health. Lead toxicity and buildup in the brain has been found to be THE cause for Multiple Sclerosis... comes from a clogged jugular vein causing a backup pressure into the brain, exploding the capillaries.
Not that the Deputy has all his marbles either. In his interview he reminded me of a punch drunk boxer (from having too many head blows).

My son William died after being pale like the judge for a year. He had sudden onset of the worst leukemia there is, they said. You see Mother, she's blond and William too a blond, so their doctors think nothing of their being so pale.
Paleness to that extent means lack of red blood cells sometimes too. The judge needs triage-quick help.
