Never fear conspiracy theorists of the world! The Birthers are alive and well and advertising in the pages of the Washington Times. And what an advertisement it is. It’s unclear what is more offensive here: the accusation that President Obama is not an American citizen, or the ape imagery. The former, of course, is utterly ridiculous. The latter is not. Also, now Obama is British.

    • The Washington Times is a billion dollar loser. Owned by cult leader Sun Yung Moon of "Moonie" fame, the paper is down to a circulation of 65,000; a figure woefully lacking to sustain any paper of significance. I guess that's what happens when you completely fabricate news supporting the right wing and denigrating the left, so that Fox news can pick it up and state "as reported in the Washington Times." It is a crackpot rag that needs to be treated like an cesium irradiated football; hands off.

    • By the way, the ad that's posted is from someone in Jamesburg, New Jersey... =(

I'm from NJ (North) but I know that people in our south, are hicks and dumb!

    • The silver lining in this lunacy is that it further marginalizes the right wing. I have the sense that educated or at least critical thinking independents will not want to be associated with this idiocy and that is good for the Democratic party in upcoming elections. So...let these fools become a huge albatross hanging round the neck of the Republican party.

    • The Washington Times is a right wing rag of a newpaper, right on par with the New York Post. They all have zero credibility. Birthers and tea baggers are a distinct minority who keeps up with the bullshit and lies. A marginal group who thinks they are a majority, the only majority they are is the majority of morons.

    • There are so many truly stupid racists in this country who believe this crap, and the saddest part is that most of them don't even realize the depths of their own xenophobia, because they were brought up that way and learned it from birth. The prejudices are so ingrained in their DNA that they actually ENJOY buying into this whole conspiracy theory. They truly are the people who WANT to believe that Obama is "a stranger from a strange land..."

At this point, if you're still being persistently ignorant enough to think there is credence in what the Birthers have to say, you're past the point of help. Go get your Klan robe fitted.

    • I wonder why the Washington Times allowed this to happen? I guess a better question needs to be asked here, are they racists too?

Forget the Freedom of Speech, if you can question the President, insult him and make fun of him in a newspaper, shouldn't they be consider dangerous to the US?

Why are the CIA, FBI, NSA and every other nonsense of government police not looking into this?

Its not the "making fun" part that worries me - it's the fact that this ignorance inspires the mentality of treason. By stating that Obama is not an American citizen, they are essentially calling him a liar and a criminal (his whole life would be a fraud if that were the case - his role as Senator, his degrees, etc...) who should be in jail and not leading our country.

It thoroughly disgusts me that the Washington Times would allow this to run. If the KKK placed an ad tomorrow with the same message - "Send that Black Man In The White House To Jail" - would they run it? Talk about Anti-American...
