I can understand people with an interest in a book on her opinions because of her experiences in life but to request her immoral/unethical opinions is just ludicrous!

and finally, for my present embellishment, an interesting quote from today's thefreedictionary.com by Willa Cather (1873-1947):
"The qualities of a second-rate writer can easily be defined, but a first-rate writer can only be experienced. It is just the thing in him which escapes analysis that makes him first-rate."
unfortunately the same can be said of idiots, per se, perhaps moreso given such resilient american 'NY Post' fecundity.

And here's taking the NY Post to task ;D ;D ;D lol:
"Corporate pranksters The Yes Men launched Climate Week in style this morning by blanketing New York City with a million copies of a special climate edition of the New York Post, its Post-like headline screaming: “We’re Screwed”
"Of course, their phony Post — not sanctioned by the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid — went in for the shock and awe with 32 pages filled with a different kind of mayhem: warnings from climate scientists and government reports about the future effects of climate change."

and maybe it's not just ostensibly about the presidency for the NY Post.
"editors engaged in racially-motivated news coverage.
Austin Fenner, who was fired from the Post on the same day that former editor Sandra Guzman sued the paper over her own dismissal, claims that he was "routinely humiliated," "openly cursed at" and subjected to "Jim Crow"-style segregation while working as a city desk reporter.
Using the same lawyer as Guzman, Fenner alleges that he too was fired from the paper both for being a minority (he is African-American) and for complaining about racist coverage. Fenner, like Guzman, publicly expressed his disappointment with a Post cartoon that depicted the author of the president's stimulus package as a chimpanzee shot dead by befuddled cops.
A spokeswoman for the New York Post, in an email to the Huffington Post, said that the allegations were "totally false and the claims of discrimination completely baseless." yeah right, "spokeswoman".

i think Stephen King must be rather livid...it just occurred to me that this might be the first "whore-writer" to unexplainably redefine yet another "genre" [or institution] in American culture...and marketed "right", her book(s) may certainly outsell several of Mr. King's in the first week.

Um, prostitution is already legalized in this country. You just don't put out an ad, the idea is to hang out where pro ball players do and try to hook up. He may not pay that evening but you can bet he will when the wifey finds out. Considering the divorce rate and the awards for divorces these days you could probably include American marriage in that category.

Oh, and why you had a Marxist flag as your avatar is your faux pas to explain. Not sure how you fit Kropotkin into the equation other than maybe using thesaurus on Marx just to put in a big word. Nice to see you changed your avatar though, free society believers might get the wrong idea about you.

animalia_libero you must reread your Bible. She didn't overcome sex work by becoming a sex columnist. She put behind her the evil ways of her past and followed Jesus unconditionally. That may be called a recovery I am not so sure about this woman's case. Somehow writing a sex column for the Post doesn't seem like much of a turnaround.

how bout one whore for all as an inalienable right? =D although i'm sure the 'letter' of the law doesn't really stop you, feeling that way. and it is legal, in sin city, if you should pay your apparent conscience the deference you would for such trifling legal 'private' matters, everyone should rather be privy you have a 'legal' right to...that is, yes, between two consenting "adults" though Americans have a hard time defining that as well, much less epitomizing... yes, in sin city, they say, what happens there, stays there!...that is, unless you happen to rip slip or spring some of it back with you!
I wonder if they have to display a business license or whatever like a barber...hmmm. maybe we could try a novel fast-food approach instead? "15 minutes of 'Heaven' once a day..." I guess that would be an commercial improvement at least over the temple prostitutes of ancient days?

i think she probably does know an awfull lot about relationships. this is what she was basically doing professionally, in this day and age it is riddiculous to get all arsey about an ex prostitute doing another job.
and to compare prostitution to peadophillia is outrageous i come on everybody has to earn and what happens between two consenting adults is there bussiness.

and for inspiration's trite aphorism....would you really draw "nonjudgmental" distinction for yourself so exclusively? you know nonjudgmental per se means "of, relating to, or denoting an attitude, approach, etc., that is open and NOT incorporating a judgment one way or the other..."
so, "not incorporating a judgment one way or the other" means you shouldn't be saying very much at all then, wouldn't it, especially to "Anyone" now right??? and "open" might just as well mean "susceptible or vulnerable" as "willing to consider or deal with something." OR maybe you'd be better off just jealous, I may humbly suggest. I mean if those are the only choices you'll afford us (or stupid isn't a word picture staring you in the mirror).

As goodname goes...there used to be a saying that one could be so full of it, it would rise unsuspectingly up between your very ears, and slosh around in your head for brains. *heavy sigh* It's a condition you know, you'll have to forgive him. Please...thanks, Monkey'. I'm sure he appreciates it. =D
And no. leave that "attacking of [false] optomism(s)" to me! it's quite possible I've deliberately challenged, antagonized (or been made to look so...and more honestly so having been characteristically provoked) and/or "attacked *everyone's* optomism" in the past or even the very present much like a Rock of Offense. The days are here when men do not really want to hear sound doctrine, unfortunately; setting it uneasily aside for things that "tickle their ears". Lovers of pleasures, more than lovers of God.

Ooh, goodname doesn't like debate. I could call you a badname but I refrain. The comment section is for just that. I haven't heard you add any thoughts or thoughtful ones. Your welcome to, just like the rest of us, however, I get the idea intelligence intimidates you so you try to clear the room of any before you can relax. I'm sorry I can't turn mine off and sit like a vegetable in front of the television watching someone else's life. We used to learn from those on soap boxes way back when we used our brains. I suppose you would listen to my soapbox if it was sold to you by the networks or the Post. I enjoy studying people, watching them at the mall and trying to understand them on posts. This helps me to understand more about people and how they work than I learned in college. Posting my opinions on these sights is a way to nudge those who have been misled by those seeking dollars and point them in a direction that will bring peace and happiness in a way our twisted corporate consumer lives never will. I could start a practice and medicate people into thinking all is okay but that's not a permanent solution. So, I use my intense need for knowledge to learn all I can, try to educate others, and try to make sense of this out of control world we live in. I would hope there are many others on this site or reading this site who are doing the same. If you can't handle the comments maybe you should avoid the comment section. Oh, there I go again, trying to help someone out...gosh, just can't help it.

So, MoonLoon in your opinion we should let all the murderers and child rapists out of jail then. I mean, who are we to judge. It's easy to say stuff like that but we judge all the time. Don't tell me you don't because if you pay taxes you pay the salaries of those who make it a living to judge others. I'm sure if someone were to be a prostitute to your significant other and you found out about it you'd be doing some serious judging of both parties. I'm not attacking your optimism I just find realism more...real.

That was a paraphase from the Old Testament, Ecclesiastes I think. The quote suggests that we not worry ourselves about the undeserving (in our opinion) being rewarded for their sins. Nor should we worry ourselves when the "good" seem to be punished. It is the way of this World.

What we are doing here is giving the microphone to everyone who gets publicly shamed. This is the new get rich scheme. A few years from now she'll be doing reality TV and that's almost a guarantee. We're telling our children to go out and do something outrageous to get your name in the news and possibly the right connections to further your 'career'. By giving this woman a voice as well as all the others who grace Nancy Grace's southern accusatory lips, we are giving a voice to what's wrong in society and doing nothing to correct ourselves. Why look down on Elliot Spitzer's behavior when we reward the harlot that brought him down? Are we now going to give the cop in the famous other stall a radio talk show? And, what will we learn from someone on the wrong side of sex about how to improve our sex lives? Probably nothing we'll want to pass on to our High School students in sex education classes. Again, this is all gimmick feeding on the perverted voyeur gossipy sides of ourselves. Sadly, most Americans don't have much of another side. I recommend education, hiking, and the arts as a way to get over the boredom that has too many of us wasting our brains on filth and what is ridiculously called entertainment on television. Oh, and as hard as it might be, don't buy the Post just to read her column, it'll be all over the internet anyway.

I agree with that. While tolerance is good for Christians we are supposed to hate the sin and not the sinner. By that we cannot decide over time that certain sins are okay and others aren't. Christians have declined over the years and true Christians even worse. Beware of preachers that teach you to tolerate everything. I hear the casting stones, glass houses, and the Romans verse about respecting the government used wrongly quite often. While this woman was a prostitute it could be said that any woman who marries for security, advancement or money is also a prostitute. These women definitely should cast no stones at this woman. However, we cannot become so watered down in the verses of the Bible that Christianity comes to mean tolerate everything, don't judge anyone, God wants you rich and being saved means just 'saying so'. I believe hatethemall is not understanding that echoz is a Christian and by calling others Xstian he is referring to the ones that have watered it down similar to to the meaning of Christmas (Xmas).
This woman only has a job because the NY Post knows that Americans perverted values and interest in only things of the gossip mills will have everyone clamoring to read her posts. This is a sick commentary on America and Americans.
It's funny today when a person actually holds to the teachings of their religion we call them 'extremists'. These are no more extremists than the so-called watered down religious people are religious at all. Muslims, true Muslims, dislike the blatant sex and corruption in our society, however, shouldn't devout Christians feel the same way? You don't hear about them because there are so few of them. When you do hear about them they are labeled as crazy kooks for actually following the teachings of Christianity instead of just calling themselves one for political purposes.

Considering what a bottom feeder Rupert Murdoch is, and that he is anything but pro Free Press, it's this woman who lowered her standards by hiring on with them. Now if the
Times hired her, that would be news fit to print. - 2 years ago

a fuqably-experienced dr. ruth? how titillating. now she's got a feminist platform so that she'll be better able to improve her existing clientele privately, in "freelance", to a even higher highest-bidder, and yet publicly still enjoy a pretended kind of talk-show-host integrity. I'd bet the sheiks are fiending already for her. For every word she says you'll imagine what she's done with that body and those lips and hips, and tits perfect for her over-prized stretched slammed slit.
America is already reaching down between their legs I'm sure. but maybe we'll get some "important" advice on positions or how to bring a moan to just the right fevered pitch...(I did it to him and he loved it! Thanks for saving my marriage with simple sex addictions only a whore could appreciate!" I'm sure as soon as she and Mordick are comfortable that she's got American public support like Obama's cult-following, "yes you can...[imagine touching me]..." she'll have no qualms about displaying the right hike in her knees for just the right arch in her back, if the price is right. That column won't contain her. Americans are already shifting in their seats and salivating in the absence of more sure and decent and sincerely safer-"sex" compunctions.
Kids will overhear of this certainly as well and form their own ideas about how "archaic" todays values are. "We can be like her! Fuqing on open park-benches like Dutch gays and prouder of it only because they see us not as voyeurs but as rightful heirs of every pleasure we can share together" ...She'll lead the way to Glory and Freedom the world will embrace like a naked statue of liberty dropping her panties to the floor and finally, finally, for lust, and the imagination of all your best lays denied...putting out her light...

I suppose I could make a few snide remarks, but.......I live in Nevada, in a county that allows prostitution. I suppose I have a different take on prostitution and the ladies that make their living selling sex.
The writer of the article, "Anthony" sounds like a self rightious, religious nut. He obviously does not know the woman, and probably has some serious self esteem issues.
As for her writing about relationships.....it never occured to him that this woman has probably heard more about relationships, man v woman, than any other so-called "married" woman. - 2 years ago

I did too, for A long time. Dayton NV. I lived within a few minutes of the bunny ranch up off of HWY 50. Never went to it though. Been married for a LONG time. I also lived between wells and elko out in the sticks in a town called River Ranch. Exit 328 off of I-80. Awesome country. I miss the Ruby mountains and the East Humbolt Range. Great hiking and camping.
I too have a totally differant view on women who do this type of work. Most are just trying to put themselves through school or are working at bettering themselves. My wife and I knew a few gals who worked in the brothels in Wells { Gotta plug Bellas} Nice ladies.

What is one to expect of the New York Post? The NY Post in no better and probably worse than the National Enquirer. The Post is a rag of a newspaper, its sensationalism journalism at its worse. Ashley Dupree could have done no worse that is for sure. She could make more money in her old profession than she will at the NY Post. Alot more!!

Whores probably have great life experiences and I'm of the opinion that they shouldn't be looked down upon for what they do, but in this situation this woman writting a sex and relationship column is pretty funny. People will read it that's for sure.

Since she’s been there before, perhaps she's the wiser for it? Many a women makes a living on her back (they're called housewives), does that somehow exclude their ability to think on their "feet?". . . Awe-hahahahaha

"I would like to state that a woman who had men pay her for sex is not exactly an expert on relationships."
Uhhhh, hello, has the writer ever bothered to take a close look at marriage? Do we really think having the government sanction a union between two consenting adults actually confers more relationship expertise than a union between two consenting adults without the little piece of paper? In fact, I'd say the whore probably has more relationship experience than most married or single women...but really, who cares?
