Citigroup just got all these Kudos for paying back their debt to the American people early,
http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20091214-703616.htmlNo mention of tax breaks here:
http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/citigroup-pay-tarp-money-report/when in reality it was the BILLIONS of dollars in tax breaks that they were paying us back with. So, they paid us back the TARP debt with our money that they owed us in taxes. Very clever. Clever, but wrong. The sad thing is that most Americans are too confused by all of this to know when they are getting reemed. Mass distraction is keeping us all from moving forward together.
