You know J_Jammer, i could not agree with you more on this one. To favor depicting Jesus in any skin color over another totally misses the point of the story. Worshipping idols was forbidden in all three books of the One Almighty God/Allah. It is the message that is important, not the messenger. Even the Quran acknowledges Jesus. Prophet Mohammed wrote The Quran himself, so he did not use the Roman's Latin translation "Jesus", it is 'Isa'. Isa is recognized as one among many prophets and messengers of God, not the son, or having any divinity. But thanks to the Roman handling of the important texts and messages, the world still feels the effects of The Holy Bible. The skin color of the messenger matters as much as the messenger himself. It the message that should be appreciated.
