A 19-year old man's trip to a new Coast Guard duty station ended when he died alone at the edge of a snowy highway in Eastern Oregon's high desert. An Oregon Department of Transportation worker spotted the man's wrecked vehicle and discovered him dead at the wheel. The young man was going to visit his family Monday evening; his name was Ethan Gorringe and he meant everything to the people who loved him. Be thankful you have a new year before you.

Ethan was a good kid and is now in a better place. We love him and are going to miss him terribly. He was not leaving his family, but going to see them before reporting to his new duty statioin. He has a very loving family and extended family that are devistated over this loss. Please keep them in your prayers as well as all of the military individuals serving away from thier families and the families who never know if they will get to hug their child/mother/father/sibling/cousin agian before God takes them from this world.
