New Years Resolution for America: Stop Fighting the Bankers' Wars

Monkey_Films
Former Soldiers like, Mike Prysner, come together to tell why they oppose war.
Our real enemy is not the ones living in a distant land whose names or policies we don't understand; The real enemy is a system that wages war when it's profitable, the CEOs who lay us off our jobs when it's profitable, the Insurance Companies who deny us Health care when it's profitable, the Banks who take away our homes when it's profitable. Our enemies are not several hundred thousand miles away. They are right here in front of us
- Mike Prysner Former U.S. Soldier

The chain reaction of
evil... wars producing
more wars... must be
broken, or we shall be
plunged into the dark
abyss of annihilation
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

If tyranny and oppression
come to this land, it will be
in the guise of fighting a
foreign enemy... The loss of
Liberty at home is to be
charged to the provisions
against danger, real or
imagined, from abroad...
- James Madison

Read that last quote again. Why do we ignore the advice of the men and women we respect most in this country? James Madison understood the concept of False Flag attacks. He understood that, if given a chance, elements in our government are capable of treasonous acts against the People. We the People are the government of this country. Let's remind them.

After the last poll closes on election day, the work is not over, We must be ever vigilant, we must write letters, call our Congress, Senate, State and local officials. Every time you close your eyes another liberty is taken. We can say NO! Even after they are elected we can still say NO! NO more wars, NO more lies, NO more bailouts. NO more lobbyists. NO more corruption. NO more deception. NO rigged elections.

Vote Independent for an unwavering candidate and support them every way you can. We need CHANGE! It's obvious nothing has Changed with Obama except his promises. Wall Street owns Washington and convinced Washington, when the economy failed, to give them more of your money essentially making everything worse for you. THIS MUST STOP!

Let's make 2010 the year the We The People take America back! Are you with me?

We need more soldiers, police officers, national guardsmen, firefighters and you, yes you to become a NEW AMERICAN HERO like Mike Prysner. Stop the wars!

    • No, I remember that part, and tell me again who was there that caused any threat to us? We are in Afghanistan to protect our interests in the Heroin trade among other things. 9/11, documents, not on YouTube. Well, brace yourself. I am willing to bet your challenge will be answered by more than just myself. This will amount to a lot of information, way more than 'Al Quaeda did it'. I have to go take care of my brothers dog and I'll be back with some links.

    • Ah, bluestranger, you still believe there is a difference between the parties. Left, right, liberal, conservative, and so on.... Until you realize both parties are owned by the same people and all of this left/right stuff is just meant to divide the people, you haven't really awakened. I am glad you have seen through the Right Wing, now we'll just have to see if you can see through the left. The truth divide is citizens/government not left citizens/right citizens,, left government/right government.

    • bluestranger : I could turn on all of the lights in the house and you'd still say it's dark. Like the Boy Scouts say, Be Prepared. I like to know whose making my decisions for me. If you want to trust everything told to you in a Capitalist society and believe money has nothing to do with anything, your choice. I am pretty sure the Jews in the Democratic Germany were pretty sure the government was looking out for them. Most had their Eyes Wide Shut and couldn't even see the tyranny when it came to the town next door. It wasn't until the doors closed on the trains that they realized how asleep they had been. I don't plan to join them in History, do you? Just like the Bielski brothers tried to warn their own family members, some people won't listen and will never see the signs.

    • bluestranger said: What I am 100% against is any extremist group that has to commit mass murder to attain their goal. //// Like the elements in this government that helped perpetrate the massacre of over 3000 people on 9/11? Or, the False Flag 'Terrorsit' attack in Detroit perpetrated by the same people? It's amazing to me how we seem to wipe out the enemy and have them surrounded in Iraq and then all of a sudden, they're in Afghanistan, oh, and wait, no, they're in Pakistan. But, wait again, even with all of our amazing technology, somehow, they ran to Yemen. But, we can't stop there, a bunch of them avoided our satellites and ran over to Iran. Oh, and don't forget the Somali pirates, guess we might have to invade Africa now. Come on, all other countries see US as the extremists. Like the Native Americans say; Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins.

Uhhh you have your time frame completely wrong. We were in Afghanistan BEFORE Iraq remember? I mean it was more than 5 years ago so i guess you forgot. Also Iraq never had anything to do with Afghanistan. This was a lie perpetrated by the Bush Administration and has been proven false.

As for Yemen and Pakistan both are unstable and poor countries in the middle east and therefore breeding grounds for terrorists. Not only that but they border Afghanistan and our soldiers arent allowed to cross over their borders without risking an international incident. So when we pushed Al Qaeda out of Afghanistan they made a run for Pakistan where there were able to operate fairly undisturbed until the recent Pakistani military's attack on their strongholds on the border of Afghanistan.

So i can back up my points with documents facts. Can you some me some evidence that the US caused 9/11? Preferably some that doesnt come from Youtube.

    • Obama has set a time line far a draw down in Iraq. This is a good thing. He has ordered more troops into Afghanistan. This is a good thing also.I hate that our service members were forced to kill and be killed in the unjust invasion of Iraq. I also hate that they killed and were killed in Afghanistan, however necessary it is. This is the price that must be paid for extremism. When you choose to fly planes into buildings, you will be hunted down and dealt with. What I am 100% against is any extremist group that has to commit mass murder to attain their goal.

    • For the last 7 years I haven't paid a single maintenance fee, not one overcharge, I've never had my interest rate raised, and have never been late for a payment and always have cash left at the end of the month. Why? I DON'T OWN A CREDIT CARD!!

Seven years ago I took out a loan and paid all my credit card debts off. Then I noticed an amazing thing. With my monthly minimum reduced to a single fixed payment to one bank I had cash left over each month. Since I had the cash, I was able to start a savings account. Now if I need something I have the cash to buy it without a credit card. If I need a little extra cash, I tap my savings and then replace the money with the extra cash I have left over in my paycheck BECAUSE I DON'T OWN A CREDIT CARD. I do however own a Visa Debit Card which doubles as a credit card to rent hotel rooms or cars and things that nature. But as you're probably aware that money comes out of your checking or savings account so you don't end up owing a fucking CC company interest.

Trust me my friends, ditch the cards or as many as possible. They are a deadly financial instrument that replicates the disgusting concept of "owing your soul to the company store". For anyone who doesn't know what that is, years ago people were employed by unscrupulous companies, that required, as a condition of employment, that everyone had to purchase the things they needed to live from the company store. Unfortunately the cost of those things always exceeded their pay and they became indebted to the company store. They couldn't leave or they would be prosecuted for theft which meant they had to stay and get deeper in debt. The similarity to credit card card debt is scary. If you use them, you have no cash, which means you have to keep using them to stay out of debt!

    • @thedirtman, I agree with you, but looking across this fine country I see a majority of people just trying to make ends meet. When people stand up to the corruption in govt. they often get marginalized by the main stream propaganda machine. Media streams lies into our homes 24/7 via corporate news and opinion cycle. I hear soooooo many people say ," I don,t even want to think about that shit ". We need a movement that addresses the basic rights of people set forth in the Declaration Of Independence.

There are a lot of people thinking that corporations are responsible for the sun rising and for crops growing in the field. I certainly do respect the unemployed and the situations that they are in. I've been there.

I like the idea of gathering power in the hands of government, and then splitting off social interests and public aid into a new institution. The new institution could represent the masses through churches, humanist organizations, synagogues, mosques, and other socially significant groups. The government can go back to establishing order for communities and corporations can go back to making products.

    • As a people we need to realize that only the masses can take back the nation. Soldiers cannot do it for them. Soldiers are simply there putting themselves in the line of fire because we will not stand up for them.

It is time for Joe Sixpack to stand up for the soldiers. If we do not want our sons and daughters dying for some corporation's right to take oil or build hamburger stands it is time to for people to stand together and first recognize this.

I have no problem with revolution...so long as the end we have in mind is sufficiently superior to what we have as to justify the means. But I am a little suspicious of just how unified "the masses" are as to what they want to see when the smoke clears.

I am not the least interested in the United States of No Compassion for the Poor, the Elderly or the Infirm, for example. Many of those who want either no government or limited government would like to see an end to the programs that support such people.

If you want to change the way we select our political leaders or structure the way our laws are created, I'm on board. I have seen enough empty political posturing and unqualified candidates elected to high office to turn my stomach for another 20 years. Just as long as nobody tries to push that libertarian horseshit over on me...I already have that t-shirt...

I'm a little bit in the margin when it comes to libertarian ideals. I would like to see government limited to making decisions necessary to establish order, but I would have to see an institution take the place of government on health care and social issues AND be represented by the community before abandoning them. Usually, I get no response to this.

Revolution? The tea-baggers have one going. They don't seem to realize that they have been organized by the serpent FOX news to spin the blame onto the new President. I wonder if independent Current news journalists could untwist the pretzel-logic created by a news organization designed to keep corporations in power and America out of power. That would be great if they could.

With two revolutions headed off the mark organizing a third might be possible. Would something to defend soldiers be too outrageous? What happened to the Progressives? I wonder if Obama is doubting Progressives will still be standing with him if he makes a bold decision - when it comes time. Obama never said the Afghan war would last forever.

    • Okay, I've said this before about this video. I have to say it again. This time let's please wake up.

The speech was posted to youtube in March 2008 when people were focused on Obama and Hillary. THERE IS NO SOLDIERS COMING TOGETHER. They have been together when we have been dreaming.

It ticks me off how soldiers are sent to a war when the people at home don't seem to know and care what goes on. I question if there is anything at all that would possibly wake people up if they are able to tolerate leaving a neighbor in Iraq to fight a war without thinking about them at least occasionally. But, this war goes year after year without even a news story on the subject. It shows how pathetically easily distracted we are as a people. It is a disgrace.

The people who send soldiers to war have never been to war. They think soldiers are something to be ordered up like french fries, and everything else. People have become a minor commodity in the lives of the rich and famous.

I'm too old to become convinced that America is the problem. The problem is, this is not America at all. America has become kidnapped.

America used to have leaders who went to battle to defend the nation when necessary. Wilson was a good example. That tradition extended even to GHWB.

Now there are appointed leaders who are the relatives of CEOs who have neither the courage nor the time to defend America. To these people America and democracy is a thing of the past. Exxon-Mobil, AIG and the rest have the power. If the UK is a constitutional monarchy then America is a corporational democracy. The power of democracy has been thoroughly compromised. Corporate HQ hold the deciders. The media and the government is a corporate tool. People are a bin full of nails waiting to be hammered.

    • I watched that episode of conspiracy theory w/ Ventura and one of the last interviews of the hour was with a Dr. Nebo, I believe. She stated, which I believe 100%, is that there IS a group more powerful than the BILDERBURG Group or the suppsed 4 main power players in the shadows, It is we the people of the united states. This does not go for just our nation, but for all the nations around the globe who are the victims of corrupt, murdering, thieving oppressive governments who lie cheat and steal and betray for profit and power. This is not just an American problem. There is a global consortium of power players who are wreaking global havoc and unrest. We need a global movement of we the people regardless of race, creed, religion or social status. The power players pit everyone against each other to keep everyone didvided by stoking our. fears of each other and ignorance of our similarities as human beings striving for equality, life, liberty and the pursuit of a peaceful and united existance of humanity. Only when we truly realize this will we be able to combat a system that is a stain on our society and eventually the downfall of all our societies as a whole.

    • Late fees rising and becoming even higher reaching $49 depending on the balance. Since the balances have risen over the past year, the average late fee has risen thus increasing the total income to banks from this source. It is estimated that almost 9 out of ten persons are today late with at least one card which is reported to the credit bureau. This results in a reduced credit score leading to rising interest charges often exceeding 25% which generates increased revenues to the banks.

      · Resulting from the economic crisis, the number of personal bankruptcies has soared. While this reduces income and increases write offs to the banks, federal bailout money has offset this loss to some extent. However, when a person files Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, his unsecured credit is cancelled and, believe it or not, this hands the banks a new revenue opportunity. They flood the just gone bankrupt person with offers for secured credit cards. Then, they offer a card starting at $500 if the person places on deposit $500 cash which earns zero interest for the consumer but does earn interest for the bank. The interest rate which was charged to the just gone bankrupt person can be very high often reaching even 35%.

Cry not for the banks! They will continue making money while their execs will continue making millions in huge salaries and bonuses reflecting the profits from this once again money extraction from the public. All we can do is simply cut up most of our cards which may be a good idea anyway. Above all, never forget that “When money speaks, truth keeps silent”."

This type of legalized embezzlement is not new. I had a capitol one card about 8 yrs. ago. I mailed my payment in 2 weeks before due, about a month later, not thinking anything I received in the mail a statement w/ late fees and added penalties. I called capitol one for an explanation. The csr to me it eas because my payment was late. I asked when they received payment. The payment was received a week before due date, payment wasn't posted until 1 day sfter due date. I asked why, of course after hemming and hawing, stuttering like a moron he had no valid answer. I threatened legal action and by the time I was done they reimbursed me money. From that day forward I no longer use credit cards and only my bank card. There for I do not spend more than I earn. No debt and I keep the little bit I do have. I don't need to validate myself or my life by keeping up with the Jones. I teach my 2 kids the same thing, unless you want to buy a house, car or for education, live within your means. Much happier and debt/stress free.

I had the same experience - with Capitol One, too! Even with owning a business I don't use credit cards anymore except for bank cards. As you have, I've actually been able to achieve good credit without using credit cards. That's great that you're teaching your children to do the same. I truly think credit and, especially, credit cards, is a scourge upon the American public. My fiance's parents still tell us we 'need credit cards' but we're both 22 with good credit despite our lack of credit card history and see no purpose to credit cards.

    • Thanks for the article.

The following is part of an e-newsletter written by a friend of my family's who escaped the Holocaust as a small child and came to America. He and his wife also fund a scholarship for students at Louisiana State University. He has, and for a long time now, had very insightful things to say about the government and the banks. I think this editorial has some bearing here.

      Gunther Karger, Director of Research

Author of Wall Street and Government Fraud and Thieves on Wall Street

The next Consumer shakedown by the banks

"Let's move the focus from outlandish executive compensation to the next extraction of money from the consumer's pocket. You guessed right if you think it’s about banks, again.

Yes, the banks are back getting around the credit card reform Congress recently passed and even not yet fully in effect. Despite the huge losses the banks incurred because of the housing meltdown , they still made an operating profit exceeding $20 billion entirely due to increased and new credit card fees. These were from higher late fees, overlimit fees and dramatically higher interest rates which soared for many card holders to more than 25%.

Here is a real goodie the banks pulled off. If you had a $10,000 credit limit and a $5,000 balance and always had made your payments on time, you could easily have received a notice from your bank telling you that your credit limit has been reduced to your balance of $5,000 leaving you with zero remaining credit. You also would see a new $49 overlimit fee because the $33 interest charged brought the balance to $5,033 which exceeded your new $5,000 limit (the new limit you didn't know about until you received this notice or you tried to use your credit card and were denied).

Then, you receive a real shock in an e-mail alert from your credit monitoring service. It says that your credit score has suddenly dropped more than 20 points because your bank filed the "overlimit" condition with the credit bureau and your balance to available credit ratio has risen to 100%. Finally, the next statement from your credit card issuer tells you that because of your reduced credit score, your interest has been increased from 8% to 29% with an increase in minimum payment effective immediately because you now are in a higher risk category. This means that you would annually pay $1,450 interest instead of the $400 with the minimum payment raised by $150 per month reflecting a monthly interest increase of $88 plus higher minimum payment schedule.

That was the past before the new laws are fully in effect. Most of these still will remain in effect but with restrictions under the new law. Now, we are starting to learn what new goodies the banks are handing the consumer to offset some of the restrictions. Here are a few:

      · Mimimum monthly maintenance fees raised from 50 Cents to $2 ($24/year.)

      · Inactivity fees up to $3 per month ($36/year)

      · Interest rate is calculated not based on the prime rate for the current statement period but is calculated based on the highest reached over the past 90 days. This change alone is estimated to generate the banks about $720 million each year.

      · Balance transfer fees raised to 4% with a minimum of $20. For example, if you transferred $200, you would be charged $20 instead of $8.

      · Foreign transaction fees rising from 2% to 3% representing a 50% increase .

No they can't "force" you to go into debt but they certainly try. For example my credit rating was about 765 when one day I noticed it had dropped by thirty points. The reason: I didn't own a credit card! It's insane but since our "financial titans" sell and buy debt, it's their way into pressuring you to aquire debt. Naturally when you get into debt with a CC company there is always the chance you'll miss a payment which you'll receive a surcharge for. The CC companies are so desperate to receive surcharges at one point they actually went to congress to get their blessing to charge a fee if people paid their bills ON TIME!! Luckily congress said no probably fearing they would be tarred and feathered by the general populace if they gave them what they wanted.

Also buying and selling debt means that trillions of dollars are not being invested into industry, small business and other things that have actual substance. Wall Street creates nothing, they spend dollars to make dollars to invest dollars to make more dollars--nothing else. Great for investors if you happen to have the cash but terrible for the economy in general that relies on job creation to thrive.

I have been out for 14 months and have just recently (over the strong objections of my family) re-enlisted. It's sad, but some of us truly are Generation Kill. Veteran Affairs are something very dear and close to my heart. We do need Change, I can't stand to lose anymore friends!
