The American people should ask the Secret Service; how can you protect a man that killed so many people and enjoyed it. How can you protect a man that according to our constitution should have been indicted, tried, convicted of Treason and genocide etc. and would be hanged just like Sadaam Hissein under our real constitutional government?

Sorry to stir the pot here kids. This comment was intended as a dry, analytical assement of 8 years of Bush, and a relatively accurate answer to a posed question. I dont mean this personaly at all. I dont see Obama comming after my guns or convertting me to his "secret religion", nor can i believe that liberals could pull off ANY secret ageanda,,, liberals CANT keep secrets doncha know.. Cheney, Rove, Pearl Wolfowitz etc,,, are far more likely to have long range plans and secrets. Besides having enough defferments between then to make up a unit, They are old pros at subversion going back to Nixon. So we shall see about Barak Obama. I will judge him in 3 years and will give him that long to clean up the cluster f*&k he inherited, call it what you will.

OK, P, now how about Reagan? Regardless of whether he and Georgie were fascists, however, the life lesson from both their presidencies may actually have been that two of the most intellectually-challenged adult males in the country were elected in (ostensibly) free elections to SECOND terms (kind of illustrates that old fool me once, fool me twice adage doesn't it?). I don't care if I have the flu or it's 10 below zero outside on Election Day...I'm getting my ass to the polls...and calling to remind my friends...

What really gets to me is that lately it seems people have been getting dumber. Is there lead in the water? Are all the pharmaceuticals (being flushed down the toilet) ending up in city reservoirs?
It seems as if the elections have become a complete sham: what can't be stolen via voting machine or Supreme Court gets stolen via slick propaganda that seems to spring directly from some focus group- swiftboats, Kenyan birth, palling around with terrorists.
It is one thing to mobilize people to get to the polls. It is quite another to invent a "change" candidate, brand him as "hope" to get him into office, and then have him completely ignore the will of the electorate.
I fear Mr. Obama is nothing more or less than a spokesmodel that was used to calm the sea of discontent: there will be no health reform that does not involve giving tax money to private medical insurers. Guantanamo is still open. There are still secret rendition camps. Bush and his band of merry crooks are still free. China is planning to get their cash back, no matter what it takes.
I will vote, but I will feel very foolish doing it, the way I felt in high school when they had us vote in mock elections. The game is rigged, and we're the marks.

They stole 2 elections… the first by perverting the supreme court…nothing happened…Then, 9-11 and a war based on a 1000 lies + the treacherous hoisting of a CIA agent… nothing happened… ENRON…zzzzzzzzz….they proceeded to shred the constitution, kidnapped imprisoned & tortured the world over…nothing…spied on one & all, fired top US attorneys, destroyed evidence… nada… conducted Katrina’s thinly veiled ethic cleansing …zilch…seeing how compliant we all where…they took us to the cleaners…

Fascist America, in 10 easy steps
From Hitler to Pinochet and beyond, history shows there are certain steps that any would-be dictator must take to destroy constitutional freedoms. And, argues Naomi Wolf, George Bush and his administration seem to be taking them all

Of course W. is a fascist, look at the dictionary. Fascism is defined by a belief that heavy industry and a dominant chief executive government is better capable of taking care of the masses, than the masses are at taking care of themselves. The neocon movement is a hi-brid national socialist party with clear idealogical purity litmus tests. It rules using economic opression, fear and enenmy demonization acquire power. The 14 defining characteristics of fascism.
http://www.rense.com/general37/char.htmDr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections. - 2 years ago

I think George W. was a catagory unto himself. He was a self professed 'decider'. He decided it was okay to 'lie in plain sight'. He would lie, Jon Stewart would point it out and mainstream media would move the masses along, as though lies didn't matter. Even though Jon Stewart used video to prove it, people were led to believe 'it may not have really happened', or they ignored it all together. Some times they would put on someone to act as though, those who believed Jon Stewart, just hated George W. or were conspiracy theorists. Some people may have been guilty of hate, but with justification.
When people would state fact, it was spun as though, it was just because people felt 'hate' for George W. They were picking in him. Stupidity was supposed to be looked over, along with 'out and out lies'? Why was everyone always picking on George W.? They chose hate, because there was no accountability required for hate.
Sadly, President Obama doesn't see accountability as a necessity either. My hope for 'change' is all but faded. I fear he is going to turn out to be a victim of the right, while letting the last administration 'walk off into the sunset, with no accountability'.
Peggy Noonan said it best, when she said 'some things are better left a mystery' when talking about George W and the use of torture. Then spoke of 'more journalistic investigations' in the future. How convenient, George W. gets a pass and President Obama gets the miscroscope.

I agree with grassroutes, he is right about GB, it is unfortunate that even in America (as it is ok in other countries!) idiots like him become Presidents, but most amazingly they go for the second term in office so that they screw up America to an extent it cripples the whole nation.
he is an ignorant individual, but very arrogant, fascist and he abused this country and the people. He and his croonies (all of them) must be brought to justice for killing all these young American soldiers in the name of War, they all should go to jail for life time, or as grass suggested punish the right way, so that no one in the future will dare repeat as what GB has done in his 8 years.

FUN WITH HISTORY
1923-1942: UNITED STATES. George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, is the Managing Director of the notorious investment bank, Brown Brothers, Harriman, from the 1920s through the 1940s and, like his father Samuel Bush, becomes a devoted lifelong minion of the Harrimans, one of the leading families in the U.S. ruling class. In league with Averell W. Harriman and his younger brother, E. Roland Harriman, Bush serves as front man for and facilitates investment in and for a score of Nazi businesses.
Bush, the Harrimans, the Rockefeller family, Standard Oil, the Duponts, the Morgans and the Fords provide funding for the Hitler Project, financing Adolf Hitler's rise to power and the takeover of Germany starting in 1923. This includes direct funding of the SS (Schutzstaffel or Black Shirts) and the SA (Sturmabteilung, storm troops or Brown Shirts).
The "approved" version of Hitler's rise to power has the German people, economically devastated by the First World War and the destructive terms of the Treaty of Versailles (written by the Dulles brothers, the Morgans and the Warburgs among others) embracing Hitler as their savior. In fact, it took some 300,000 SS and SA thugs, armed and financed by the Rockefellers, Fords, Bushes, Harrimans, Duponts et al to terrorize the German people into submission to the Nazis. These same thugs assassinated more than four hundred German politicians who had the courage to oppose Nazism.
The cash supplied by the American ruling class to the SS and SA is channeled through a variety of German companies by International Telephone and Telegraph (IT&T). Virtually all of the weapons used by the SS and SA to terrorize the German people, primarily Thomson submachine guns and pistols, are supplied by the Rockefellers' Remington Arms and carried to Germany by the Harriman-controlled Hamburg-Amerika line fronted by George W. Bush's great grandfather, Herbert W. Walker. The Rockefellers’ Chase Manhattan Bank serves as a major source of finance for the Nazis and, as the Nazis send Jews, Gypsies, socialists and other “sub-humans” to the gas chambers in accordance with the eugenics agenda promulgated by the American ruling class, closes the accounts of its Jewish customers. Chase will continue to serve as banker for the Nazis even after Germany declares war on the U.S.

The Bush years were the 'Nothing to see here, move along' era. MSM just 'moved us along' to all the wrongs. Now they are going to highlight everything negative about President Obama and act as though all things are relevant now. They are going to spin for the next election, trying to put Republicans in a positive light. That will be easy, cause they control the spin. They spun us into a war of choice, using fixed facts and forged documents and MSM just 'moved us along'. Nothing to see here, move along.
Our voting process has not been fixed. So, with MSM spinning for the right, it will look as though people are dissatisfied with President Obama. The right can fix the election and MSM can spin it into a win. Been there, done that!
I hope President Obama takes the time to look at elections in America and the voting machines which can be manipulated. We are still using machines which can be hacked. Those who count, or manipulate the votes, win. Sad, sad, sad.

I recommend you look more deeply into the Bush family legacy such as both Bush 41 and Prescott Bush's profound economic involvement with and the enabling of the rise of the Third Reich.

I'm trying to find out how many people on this site lean toward (or can be pushed toward) thinking of George Bush as a fascist.
In my opinion, George Bush and the people for whom he was a front man are textbook fascists. They (like Mussolini in 1940s Italy) believe that corporations should be the government and that strong, predatory bosses should control the economy, civil rights, and daily activities of the masses. In order to achieve their goals, the new fascists have propagandized the American electorate into believing that anyone to the left of them in the political spectrum is "unpatriotic" for wishing to preserve secular civil government.
Bush and the "neo-conservatives" label opponents as "socialist" or "communist" or "terrorist" in order to frighten uneducated and unreflective voters into supporting the fascist agenda. Such scare tactics are not new, but the last 8 years have included the most persistent and effective modern use of American mass media in a concerted campaign to wrest control of the government from the hands of the voters.
When people read this posting, I hope they are at least reminded of what has happened and that they will temper their belief of propagandizing "polls" with a healthy skepticism. I hope people will recognize that the use of war, daily terrorist alerts, labeling, and blatant lies are all parts of an effort to destroy American democracy at the grass roots level.
The suggestion that my use of this forum betrays a flaw in my character or that I must have an ulterior motive other than persuasion is, I believe, an attempt to label me in order to discredit my question. Such labeling is common practice among the fascists. It is heartening to note that a sizable and significant majority of people (through their responses to this poll) have recognized Bush's fascism and that they are still willing to speak out against it. In that sense, this small poll is very affirming. I hope more people will speak out against the liars and criminals who have worked so hard to improve their material wealth at the expense of America's working men and women.
Now, let me ask you, ibrake4rappers13 (since you may not have understood the question), do you believe George W. Bush is a fascist? A brief explanation and defense of your belief would greatly enrich this discussion. Thank you.

I had hoped that once Obama took office, all of the anti-bush whining would stop and people would just look ahead.

I wanna say YES....But I gotta agree with UNIMATRIX0
Bush = Incompetent Idiot
Cheney = FascistA country massively in debt
Virtually no jobs added in the private sector over the previous 10-years
And a world of people who can't figure out whether they are "with us "Americans", or against us" considering the wars we've started and havoc our governments policies have created

His regime was the definition of a fascist regime. His cronies - Cheney, Rumsfeld - should have their photos in the dictionary under the word Fascist. I mean, there is sworn testimony from Bush officials stating that, on the evening of 9/11/01, they had a video conference with Bush in which they LITERALLY discussed ways to confuse the American people into thinking Iraq had something to do with the attacks. They put together a plan, implemented it using their puppet, and it worked! Half of America thought Iraq and Afghanistan were the same place for years!
That being said, the man himself was a mentally challenged puppet who fully endorsed fascism, but as Unimatrix said, he couldn't define or even spell the word if his life depended on it.
