Why the U.S. Should Commit a National Suicide : Veterans Today

DID YOU ASK FOR CHANGE? HAVEN'T YOU GOT IT?

Why not?! After all, that is precisely what our policy makers are relentlessly driving us toward: an eternal and seemingly inevitable doom for our nation. What’s worse is that our elected representatives are allowing this suicide to materialize.

Amid a crippling economy and insurmountable recession, the impecunious yet optimistic taxpayers spent millions of dollars to elect a president for ‘Change.’ However, in the backdrop of the apparent change in name and face, a belligerent foreign policy remains a constant, jeopardizing our national security at an unparalleled scale. Mere vestiges of his economic recovery rhetoric from the campaign trail remain a year after the trail has ended, and destination White House accomplished by President Obama. Now we are all privileged to travel the next trail together, the trail leading to a national suicide which passes through the rubbles of unending costly wars and bloodbath.

    • I haven't seen all of the change I want to see, and especially in the area of foreign policy, but I am not ready to completely throw in the towel on Obama.

      It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly ... who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who have never known neither victory nor defeat.

    • Worldwide, I believe we should blow everything up and start from scratch.

      I would feel bad to continually let human-offspring into /this/ world. Let's hope for a next!

    • Obama is mere man...Obama has taken on one of the worst economies in American history.....He was given the gift of two wars, that is causing a devastating effect on our Military and budget...It took George Bush eight years to screw up the entire World, and it just might take several hard working, mentally capable, dedicated Presidents to resuscitate our ailing Country! Bush and his band of self serving, incompetent thieves, caused a catastrophic effect Globally......Americans that are determined to see Obama fail, will never appreciate the much needed progress, that Obama has made in only one year....Change is definitely taking place, and progressive, patriotic Americans are embracing the changes......" The Good Old Boy " system is being replaced by a diverse, modern, twenty first century Government, and it is extremely threatening to numerous Americans..To the critics that accuse Obama of not keeping his campaign promises, can he have a full term to fulfill his obligations? ......It will take the co-operation of both Houses in both Parties, for Obama to make sweeping changes, however I honestly believe that he will become a great President......

      I understand the country was perfect before the evil BUSH came to power. BUSH was the creator of all evil argument just doesn't fly. If OBAMA was such a great leader he would not point fingers as he does on a daily basis. Of course he always follows pointing fingers up with "I am not here to point fingers" or "The BUCK stops here" nonsense. He can not have it both ways.

      If he was here too fix and lead you would never hear anything refferring to a previous administration or "I inheriated...". He understood the stakes we he announced he was running. He is in the office for one reason and this is POWER and to change America in a unimaginary way to what the founding fathers invisioned.

    • its probably harder to be president then it looks. (maybe not) but look at Lincoln and Kennedy. both must have pissed off some corporations.
