A post on racism goes up everyday on this website. We often have discussions on racism, classism, socialism, a a lot of other isms, but we seldom want to talk about sexism.

The real battle for domination on this planet is sexism. Sexism is worst than all of the others above mention. It crosses all genres, races, ethnic groups, and economic classes of people. Sexism is crime against all of humanity. I guess that I was blessed to have a mother, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who all exhibited a high degree of character, so I was raised to treat women right. When I didn't, I got put in place real quick. I called one of my sisters friends a bitch in high school. The news got home before I did. My mother mother met me at the front door. I'll never forget that evening. I've never cheated on my wife or gotten physical with her. I'm raising a daughter, and I'd probably want to kill someone if they ever did that to her. I didn't even get involved in dirty girl conversations with any of my male friends today.

      I'm raising a daughter.

      Admirable,

You're out of your mind if you think that I'm responsible for for these chauvinistic trash bigots masquerading around as soldiers raping and killing innocent people, just because I'm an American too.. If there is a God, there's no way on Earth that He (or she) will ever allow America to win a war with her soldiers behaving like this.

THEY ALL SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH.

If you pay taxes and are an American Citizen then you bear some responsibility for the actions of the soldiers fighting for your nation. Soldiers represent the nation of the uniform they wear. It may be a bitter pill to swallow but that is the way it works..

The United States elected George Bush and Dick Cheney not once but twice! Congress overwhelmingly supported the funding and invasion of Iraq. No one was charged or tried for war crimes in the Bush administration. No one was responsible I guess...

    • This video may or may not be authentic. After watching the reported behavior of soldiers in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq etc. it is not beyond belief. Most soldiers are trying their best to do a difficult job under tremendous stress. There are a small percentage that commit horrible atrocities. War is not conducive to exemplary behavior. Your tax dollars paid for his plane ticket to Iraq. If any of this is true it was done in the name of the United States and we are all responsible.

But, if we didn't give them what they wanted, they would get more angry and take that anger out on the scum. So, I am still happy with them taking the scum

    • And these are the people the media would have us think are 'heroes'!
i'm sick of people thinking that when you go over to a foreign country to fight a corrupt war under the orders of even more corrupt men to kill a bunch of innocent people that that makes you a hero.
This story takes me back to the rape of berlin, which is rarely mentioned alongside other WW2 attrocities

    • The most disgusting thing I have ever heard. Whats so disturbing is how non-nonchalant this freak is will describing his horrible crime.

I don't normally condone violence, but if anyways sees this motherfucker in the street its your duty to castrate him.

I'm curious: Did you watch the video? I'm not convinced of its validity, but it's disturbing. Your comment didn't really address the video, and I'm wondering if you think it's legitimate. Does it appear to you to be real or phony?

    • Three Years After the Death of Pfc. LaVena Johnson in Iraq, Her Parents Continue Their Call for a Congressional Investigation

Three years ago, on July 19, 2005, Army Private First Class LaVena Johnson was found dead in Balad, Iraq. Her body was found in a tent belonging to the private military contractor KBR. She had abrasions all over her body, a broken nose, a black eye, burned hands, loose teeth, acid burns on her genitals, and a bullet hole in her head. The Army labeled Johnson's death a suicide. But her parents never believed that story. They think she was raped and murdered and are now demanding a full congressional investigation into their daughter's death.

    • Heard this over two years ago . The blood lust madness war creates in some people , will make it near impossible for him to reintegrate into society , in a healthy way . He will either kill himself or put himself in a place to die easy . How many will he hurt in the process ? The only people who really win in these wars are the ones who sell weapons and acquire resources . He is partly to blame , but even more to blame is the situation he was put in . It was a no win , from the beginning . The telling comment was , "The CIA showed us lots of stuff ..."

Yeah, sorry it's old news... Occasionally I'll see things and then I'll search out Current to see if the story is already there, when they're not even if they are old I submit them.

Maybe I shouldn't submit old news, but then again, maybe we shouldn't be occupying countries who's problems are beyond our control? Hopefully public backlash will help pull us out of places like Afghanistan, at least that's my intent.

      Oh and I won't deny shamelessly promoting my own pet group;

This was a good post , because it was unknown . If people had to look into the face of war , they might decide it isn't very fun anymore . The truth could set us free from the corporations that hold us in thrall with the glorification of violence .

    • If it is true, it is absolutely disgusting, and Bush and Cheney still walk the earth with impunity. What is really sickening is how pathological this guy is about what he did...these people weren't even human to him, and the fact that Bush and Cheney lied about the Iraqi connection means nothing to him...being in the military was just a license to kill and rape people who are different. He understood what he was doing to this girl, he just didn't care, and neither did his supervisors. The biggest change after the story broke was no cameras? The CIA taught them how to torture. Disgusting. He belongs in prison, but instead we put innocent people from other cultures in prison and still refuse to apologize or prosecute the guilty. Instead, our Supreme Court limits their rights to question their own imprisonment, and this guy just straight up admitted they gathered up everyone and didn't care if they were guilty or innocent...and he cites 9-11 as his reason. Way to go Bush, your lie accomplished what you set it out there to accomplish. I hope you know how guilty you really are.

How about some real change Obama?

    • No one could possibly be this stupid (well, some could). Nonetheless, I have a hunch that this video isn't legit.

Let's have this intoxicated guy with a shaved head who is conveniently wearing a U.S. Special Forces t-shirt (under perfectly placed lighting so his identity is masked) confess to us the atrocities he's committed while serving at Abu Ghraib...

      Just not buying it.

I think you make a good point bishopobispo. It's impossible to confirm that this is legitimate. I don't think that's denial; that's just using critical thinking and looking for facts.

Dammit, even I feel it seems a bit contrived...

I won't let it take away from the fact that, for every story I saw I thought was fake, it's probably taken from 2-3 that are real.

This kind of thing does happen, I had the displeasure of growing up around Vietnam vets that weren't making stories up, and something rings true here.

This is the kind of shit that only needs be done by a few soldiers to completely ruin the good efforts abroad and the reputations at home of all of the good and honorable soldiers who have to serve overseas.
