Study Links GM Corn Consumption to Organ Damage

Image

A recent E.U. study found that rats who’s diets included different strains of Monsanto’s genetically modified (GM) corn experienced kidney, liver, and other organ damage.

The study looked at three strains of Monsanto’s GM corn: one that was “Roundup Ready” and two that were engineered to produce Bt toxin which acts as an insecticide.

      Thank you for the info.
I will be resurrecting my garden in the next year or two. I had to give it up for lack of time to take care of it. However, I have to start it again so I can stay away from all of the crap sold in stores.

This story aired yesterday on NPR. Read at link or listen to podcast. Very sad indeed. The U.S. farmers are very unaware and are participating in a destruction with innumerable consequences. Someone needs to 'unbrainwash' them. Previous posts have stated that animals shun GMO's, so the farmer's statement that a monkey could farm with it is untrue. The monkey would know to stay away from it.

    • Yeah, and locally grown doesn't always equal natural because they local guys might be using treated or hybridized seeds. You can't know what you walk into a grocery store and buy for your family. You just don't know. Only way is to buy locally from the farmer you know and have talked to regarding his ethics.
