In a lecture at the University School of Law on October 27, 2007, Obama’s administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs emphatically stated that you do not have a right to own firearms. “It is striking and noteworthy,” said Cass Sunstein, “that well over two centuries since the founding, the Supreme Court has never suggested that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to have guns.”

    • Obama wasn't president in 2007 and Sustein is a "regulatory Czar" not a Czar of gun control. Besides, saying the Supreme Court didn't rule on the Second Amendment isn't the same as calling for a gun ban. However, keep up the paranoia. People are eating it up.

    • I agree with Slarabee. Who the hell cares if Cass Sunstein wants to ban guns? He's not the president, he doesn't have the authority to push something like that forward anyways, and no politician who can get to the position that Obama has is going to ban guns.

      Get back to you? Obama is considering signing an international agreement now circulating in Latin American capitals which would effectively end the 2nd amendment. Sunstein, a close friend and colleague of Obama's for many years--who is already being discussed as a possible Supreme Court nominee (there will definitely be an opening on the court this year)--is obviously a left-wing fascist who has no respect for the Constitution--and you call this "right-hyperbolic smear merchant bullshit?" Talk about knee-jerk leftists.
