We’re the TSA and You Can Count on Us! (to overreact to tiny threats and ignore big ones)

We’re the Transportation Security Administration. We’re working hard to make sure you enjoy a safe flight. And while we cannot apprehend every terrorist, you can count on us to do what we’re trained to do whenever there’s a security breach–overreact to tiny threats.
Overreact to tiny threats; ignore the big ones. That’s what we do, and we do it better than anyone.

Signed,
Your Government

P.S. Thanks for allowing us to monopolize security to an unconstitutional Federal bureaucracy!

    • Individual rights?

Does this philosophy extend to abortion and homosexual marriages or should the government take away the "freedom" of individuals to choose those options for themelves via a Constitutional amendment?

What about the individuals rights to take any drug they want?

What about the individuals "right" to a fair trial and the "right" not to be incarcerated without due process for years?

I'm just saying the some people value "rights" in very vague terms, but in reality are all for eliminating as many rights as possible.

Some political parties (let's just say it: Republicans) cry loudly about freedom and individual rights and getting government out of our lives.

But they seem to change their tune dramatically when it comes to gay marriage, abortion and people accused of terrorism. On those issues they don't want a government they can "drown in a bath tub" -- they want to all-powerful avenging government that will take away "rights" they don't think others should have.

    • Individualism & Individual Rights: Individual rights is the only proper principle of human coexistence, because it rests on man’s nature, i.e., the nature and requirements of a conceptual consciousness. Man gains enormous values from dealing with other men; living in a human society is his proper way of life—but only on certain conditions. Man is not a lone wolf and he is not a social animal. He is a contractual animal. He has to plan his life long-range, make his own choices, and deal with other men by voluntary agreement (and he has to be able to rely on their observance of the agreements they entered).

    • Some people don't get it - They always seem to think that when there is a post on here from the peace freedom and prosperity movement, that the person that is posting it is anti-democrat and pro-republican. Give me a break - We are INDIVIDUALIST - PRO FREEDOM - LIBERTARIANS - ANARCHO-CAPITALISTS - VOLUNTARYISTS!

    • Ya gotta love people--already the Obama bashing has started--even though DUH the facts are Homeland Security was created and implemented by former President George W. Bush--and then there is the small fact that in the 1980's when air traffic controllers started saying that they were not being adequately trained or paid for the job they did in protecting our skies and thus went on strike- the Republican Messiah--Ronald Reagan-simply went in and fired everybody and gutted the agency all together which lead to a complete denial of the problems with air traffic control and airport security until a group of foreign terrorists on 9/11 pointed out the flaw in deregulation and complete lack of government oversight (and a group of homegrown terrorists disguised as bankers ran the middle class and pretty much the economy off the cliff using the same loophole--but that's another story).

But because I am literate and know what words actually mean and understand the concept of sarcasm (teabaggers) and really have no use for the established elitist members of either political party--someone will come along and call me a "libretard"

The neocons are just as brainwashed as the Keynesians! I went to one of their Dick Armey rallies.....such a disgrace to true free market principles! These people really are clueless also. People who still believe in the democrat/republican fight are just as clueless.

It's about economic freedom, civil liberties, and a noninterventionist foreign policy. It's about self-ownership and Liberty for all, but the neocons and Keynesians don't see things that way. They believe in the political system and on central planning. They love debt financing by the Federal Reserve because it funds the welfare/warfare state that keeps the two party system in power.

Only Libertarian leaning candidates understand the complete economic and social realm iin context to politics.

    • Liberals may shred the US Constitution but Conservatives have enough glue and tape to put it back together again. The Constitution of the USofA is not a Humpty Dumpty, but the Democrat/Liberal Elitists are "the King's Men." [They think Obama is their King.]

Ummmm---last I checked it was the Republicans lead by their President Dick Cheney and his puppet George W. who shredded the constitution and passed several bills that were nothing more than unconstitutional power grabs by the executive branch.

Good Lord. Bush wouldn't even allow people to hear him speak unless they SIGNED LOYALTY OATHS prior to entering the building!

These people worshipped Bush as a god who could do no wrong and loudly demanded anyone who QUESTIONED their god, Lord Bush, by jailed for treason.

And now these same people are accusing Dems of liking Obama too much.

Reminds me of closeted Republicans who loudly denounce homosexuals as evil....and then immediately go have sex with male prositutes.

These people seem to forget just how much they kissed Bush's ass for 8 years. I mean, its bears repeating these people demanded the executionof any reporter who DARED to even ask bush tough questions when he declared that the Consitution didn't apply to him!
Bush said he was not bound by the Constition and his supporters only applauded...and now they have the balls to say Obama is a tyrant because -- what? -- he wants to provide more healthcare coverage to poor people?

Last I heard the "Patriot Act" was passed by a republican congress and a republican president. George Bush and that Dick Cheney have done more to shred the constitution than anyone in the history of the United States!!!
