Bible verses on US combat rifles cause outrage

Bible verses on US combat rifles cause outrage. A disturbing story is developing concerning Bible verses being printed on combat-rifle sights. The Bible references violate a ban on proselytizing by American troops, as well as the establishment clause of the first amendment to the US Constitution.

    • All these stories make it sound a little worse than it is...

The bible verses themselves aren't printed but the citations are. The serial numbers look like : 123456JN3:16

that would be John 3:16 at the end. It can be seen as a violation of "separation of church and state" but does anyone really even notice them? and does anyone really look up the verses? or does the enemy notice them? All questions to ask when thinking about scrapping em and spending much more on new ones...
