Wear a bra made out of plastic pop can rings if it makes you feel better about yourself but don't broadcast how much better you are to the world while doing so.
THAT is the problem with this environmental movement. You can't just walk along the roadside quietly picking up trash while out walking your dog, you have to do it on camera so they news will say "GOOD PERSON!"

Eco-clothing is great. Organic cotton, hemp...but WTF is that picture all about?
I searched around for organic cotton clothing and the styles are pretty slim pickings. Unless like me, you wear those styles.
Hopefully, someone will get the hint and start making more selections to entice people to buy.
But that dress thingy that woman is wearing is just down right.......can't think of the right words. - 2 years ago

Im confused wasn't it just a few years ago that every1 was worried about Panda's not having enough Bamboo? Should we really start using it as a clothing material so the Chinese can see that as another business opportunity and cut down the remaining Bamboo forests thus endangering the Pandas even more?

Bamboo grows all over the world, not just in China. One can plant bamboo in one's garden, so using bamboo for textile is no threat to pandas.

Ofcourse, Bamboo can be grown all over the world. Thats not the point Im making. Using a food source for an endangered animal isn't smart b/c it would give people in that area incentive to use the food source for textiles. China is already the worlds workshop and has easy access to Bamboo so it would only be natural that manufacture of this type of clothing would be concentrated there. Its the same concept as trying to reduce dependency on oil because, even though it can be found all over the world, too much of the money goes to a volatile and corrupt middle eastern regimes. Untill, the Panda is off the endangered species list we should not be considering it's food source as a viable alternative for clothing.

"Eco-chic" clothing is great and all, but only if it's practical. It's not really eco-friendly to waste materials on something no one will ever wear.

Most runway clothes aren't really wearable, they are more just to create a buzz for the brand or designer and to create a brand aesthetic for the season.
Usually what you see in stores is a scaled down version of what was on the runway.

That outfit should be in a picture in the dictionary right next to the word hideous.

I agree these outfits are a little ridiculous, especially the witch one...WTF? But it looks like most of the designers were international, hence the strange silhouettes. For the one in this picture, its kind of a rip off of a Martin Margiela from a couple years ago, but the material here looks really cheap and awful.
The problem right now with eco-fashion is that it is too obvious - it's basically organic t-shirts with something like "I

You could throw money at her like a wishing well. Then, we could use that money to plant a garden. Kind of simple but I like the idea, lol. All the kidding aside, hell yea, get rid of the rayon, send DuPont packing.

I think we kind of fucked ourselves over with the eco thing...the US eliminated restrictions for the number of imported textiles from Asia a few years ago. So outsourcing cheap fabrics (like rayon, nylon, polyester...) is just going to keep rising IMO.
The only thing the US produces is cotton (but I think most of it is Monsanto GM anyway), but since anyone can outsource as much as they want from Asia, no one is going to bother with it.

I think it's supposed to double as a lampshade thingamabob and if she stands on top of a tall building she can both act as a homing beacon and reflect a tranquil light on the quaint urban park down below. I just hope she doesn't try to drive with it on.

i think clothing designers are trying to mimic the blossom/bloom of a flower /for women; above is an sophomoric attempt at it's design cue.
i think it'd be lovely if/when done right..
