That's how an Oxford coroner reacted to a recent ruling ordering the details of the former United Nations weapons inspector's death locked away for 70 years, .
Kelly's story, however, was gravely important in 2003, just before he was found dead in the woods behind his home in Oxfordshire, U.K. As the BBC revealed in the wake of his passing, he had been the key source behind a story claiming intelligence on Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction was "sexed up."
Hours before his death, he reportedly e-mailed New York Times reporter Judith Miller, warning her of "many dark actors playing games," according to the BBC.
Lord Hutton, the British judge who led the state's investigation into Kelly's death, also ordered his written records pertaining to the case sealed for 30 years, according to UK's Morning Star Online.
The report added that Hutton's inquiry "concluded that Dr Kelly had killed himself by cutting an artery in his wrist. But the finding has been challenged by doctors who claim that the weapons inspector's stated injuries were not serious enough to have killed him."
A paramedic who responded to the scene was quoted by The Guardian, saying: "There just wasn't a lot of blood... When somebody cuts an artery, whether accidentally or intentionally, the blood pumps everywhere. I just think it is incredibly unlikely that he died from the wrist wound we saw."
The claims eventually led a group of six doctors to bring formal demands for an investigation into Kelly's death. An initial inquiry was headed up by the British Ministry of Defense.
"[Just] how far were the Blair/Bush administrations willing to go in order to fabricate a reason for the Iraq war?" asked RAW STORY's Investigative News Editor Larisa Alexandrovna in a post to her blog, At Largely(link). "The Bush administration was at the very least willing to out a covert CIA officer, committing treason in the process. What was Tony Blair willing to do?"
Sadly, with the court's inquiry ended, the questions seem doomed to persist.

Too bad government agencies are still deprived of the resources to listen to (and protect) whistleblowers:

Seriously, the people have a severe memory loss and putting something away until all persons involved are dead is a good way to forget it ever happened. If you are willing to knock down 3 buildings in New York, it pretty much says the lengths you will go to get what you want. NUF SAID and JS

Like a page from the "JOSEPH STALIN PLAY BOOK !"
Joseph Stalin said: “ Death solves all problems - no man, no problem.”

With that said... The citizens of the UK and the USA must make a firm stand for nothing less that 100% transparency and 100% truth from both our governments. Anyone (ANYONE) that stands in the way of "the truth" is nothing less than an enemy of all people... In criminal acts of such magnitude, a person that uses a "national security" smoke screen are NOT protecting the interests of national security but, only in the self-serving interests of protecting the guilty! The ones who are responsible for the Murder of Dr. David Kelly ! This act to protect the guilty by a group of people who feel that they are above the law. A cover-up like this... is a slap in the face of all Free Societies and all Free People world-wide. It is a GIANT STEP TOWARDS FASCISM... A step that must be stopped quickly!IN A FREE SOCITY.... We all must all demand the truth from our governments the full truth and nothing less than the 100% the truth. What we see here.... is a "Stalinistic Act", which is unacceptable in any free society-! Murder is a capital crime... Justice needs to be served... let the chips fall where they may... not in 70 years... but today.
If our governments are not fit or not capible of providing justice and the truth for these Criminal Acts... Then let them be tried in the Haig for capital crimes in the World Court. But one thing for certain... Justice needs to be served, this is a crime that needs to be addressed and punished as all Criminal Acts in order to protect the integrity of justice and a free society!

We know what is going on but are preasently helpless to take action. But time is in our favor at this moment. Government is like the secret societies, they can declare any subject as national security and hide it from the people forever. The same can be said of the CFR and all other think tank powers.

Just what is so terrible about this, that governments have to hide the cause for 70 years? What are the people supposed to think about a government who places the death of someone in secrecy for 70 years? If this is so horrible, who is the horror, the Doctor or the government? Either way something needs to be sanitized and the rags burned or in this case someone needs to be cremated and I am not so sure that it should be the doctor.

Why do you guys act so surprised, and outraged? This stuff has been happening since the beginning of time. You and I are at the bottom of the totem poll. Just because you have the internet doesn't mean things will change. There will always be corruption, and the top 1% will always make the rules. So they murdered this dude who wasn't keeping his mouth shut. It surely wasn't the first, and wont be the last. Just feel lucky they have not started coming to our houses and taking our children yet.

There is a very dark side of the western world forces. Even words like illuminati, conspiracy theory and just plain blatant secrecy fog up the visions of what we from our youth held sacred more than God. The scientific ewxplanation that everything is an illusion sounds very practical but when we mix a little bit of painful distorted reality it becomes a very different depiction. Sadly this dark side of humanity is totally evil and has nothing to do with Russia and its evil empire but the evil within our own empire. There are real people inflicting the sadistic tortures on the free thinking people of the world. We Americans lived under the pretense that America was a product of the best minds and forces that the universe has to offer. But like all things there is always a nasty and powerful influence that tears at the very fabric of all that is decent. Between the United Kingdom and the American forces they could destroy the fabric of this entire world. It would take very little to return our nation to a paradise But the people must wake up to the truth and what is the real problem with the world and it can be defined in ome word, money, wealth overpowering ambitions.

There are only two reasons I can think of for sealing files and evidence that deal with this "suicide".
First, there really is something being covered up and this man was murdered as opposed to having killed himself.
Second, the sealing of the files is meant to act as a distraction from something else. People who are paying attention to this might not be paying attention to something else.
Either way, this should not be sealed. It should be made public. If there is fear that there would be a recoil because of the information about this case, then perhaps that recoil needs to happen.

This is no surprise, knowing how our government is corrupted..
Which comes into questioning if we will ever see the day when, we the people have the right to know what is going on. - 2 years ago

Well, what would happen if the files weren't sealed and (just throwing one out there) we found out that the guy was murdered because he had a piece of info that would presumably raise some hell, like that are are no bombs and the war was for something more material like, let's say oil. It's likely that the only thing that would change would be the decibel level. Best case scenario there would be a lot of stupid people running around like their asses were on fire demanding that the war ends and then there would be world peace. But it would be more likely that something would backlash because we are already at war. We have been for a while, and the situation is more unstable now then it was before. This wasn't stopped earlier and I think that we'd all have to agree that we are a little stuck. There's no saying what would happen if we suddenly pulled out of the Middle East now because like it or not, corrupted ass that he was, Sadam did manage to maintain some semblance of order, order that we great democrats have not been able to reproduce. As much as I hate the idea of not knowing everything, some knowledge doesn't change a damn thing.

I do not understand the justification for sealing the details of an apparent suicide for any amount of time. It is most definitely murder.

As someone else mentioned....they've been doing this for a long time...we simply now have easier access of truthful information...will this help us in the long run ? Only if enough of us band together. The only way we win anything is if we are the majority and I mean a huge overwhelming majority...like maybe everyone! lol

There's a reason why Obama signed a law protecting the old administration, they did something! We have the right to know why these things are being done and who was involved in the 9/11 attacks!!!!
But like Kenny said, the public is not doing anything but sit back and get mad at stupid shit!
