One Planet Earth, One Humanity, One Concept, One Obstacle.......Greed. One Question. Why?

Monkey_Films
I began my life in the mid 60s. My father was in the Air Force at the time so we didn't stay in one place long. The thing about being a military 'brat' is that you learn to adapt and to make friends quickly. My travels included living in a trailer at a military base, stays in Wisconsin, Georgia, Kentucky, Colorado, California, Illinois and back to Kentucky. Not long after graduating high school I started my own business. My business had clients in all counties of Kentucky and some in Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. After ten years the business closed and I took a job traveling all over the country; a new town in a new state every week. Occasionally, I was hired to travel out of the country. On one trip we left Detroit and entered Canada. I had several days off of work so after the wedding I attended in Canada I decided to drive across Canada hugging the small rural roads near the Great Lakes and making my way to Niagara Falls. From there we left for Kentucky through the states. I even spent 4 weeks in San Juan and befriended a cab driver immediately at the airport. The rest of the time, when I had free time, I road around with the cab driver to get a native's perspective and meet his passengers. Why do I tell you this? I tell you this to lend credentials to what I am about to tell you. We are all the same, basically. The average Joe is the average Joe no matter where you go.

So....why do we fight between the left and the right? Because they told us to.

So....why do we send our brother and sisters off to war? Because they told us to.

So....why did we bail out the same banks that have been ripping us off for years? That's right.
Because they told us to.

So....why do we sit here, helpless, after Geithner stole our money? Because they told us to.

So....why do we allow the war crimes of torture to be committed by our government? Yes, because they told us to.

So....why do we allow our Bill of Rights and Constitution to be shredded by a government 'Of The People'? It's a sure bet, because they told us to.

So....why do we stay inside, watch TV, avoid the sun, the neighbors, the Earth? You got it. Because they told us to.

So....why do we kill thousands of innocent foreigners? Because they told us to?

So....why did we invade Iraq? Because they told us to.

So....why did we stop questioning our government and holding them accountable? Because they told us to?

So....why do we sit here while our planet is destroyed and our brothers and sisters around the globe are murdered in the name of resources and profit? Because they told us to.

We are all one humanity. All with one wish. The wish to be left alone, to live free, to help out our neighbor and expect the same from them. The wish to love one another, cherish freedom, cherish the Earth, and all benefit from what everyone has to offer.
Our governments now have the power to do unimaginable things with technology. The question is WHY? Why do we spend so much on bombs when we are bankrupt? Why do we kick Americans out of their homes when everyone's home could be paid for with the money spent on wars? Why do people still live on the streets in America when shelters could be built in every single town with the money we spend on wars? Why do we allow Banksters to give bonuses at all with the money borrowed from our children's future? Why do we taze little children and elderly women? Why do we allow lobbyists to buy and sell our 'representatives'? Why did the Supreme Court rule that there's no limit to how much a corporation can spend to buy your government? Why did the Detroit 'bomber' get help passing all security while boarding the plane?

WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY.........................?

Time to grow up and stop doing what they tell you to do. Ask questions, demand answers.

    • You may have missed a couple of questions.

Why does every other country celebrate labor day on May 1st, but the US calls labor day some time around the 1st day of school?

Why do our citizens continue to vote against a male/female equality law?

Why do the 80% of the people who believe in God don't go to church?

Why do we continue to put supply side economics laws on the books?

      (maybe more later)

    • I haven't been in many places, except Mexico, way south of the US/Mexico border, but the people I met there were regular folks.
It has always been my contention that the "average Joe" would probably be able to work out any problems on a peaceable level.
      Well...perhaps not completely peaceable.
Instead we get religious leaders and government officials who tell us who is good and who is bad, and we react accordingly.

    • Sorry, EthicalVegan, I wrote the copy out of inspiration from seeing the video. I usually do pick apart spelling and making sure the text is readable but in this case I borrowed a youtube friend's work while the feeling was right. I may help him edit the video and then edit the post with the revised version. Thanks for the rest of your comment and the justifiable critique.

    • The interpretation lays it down like this...the conceptions that man tries to debase always most often times...come out trivial....and way off key...so with that said...we lead down almost all of the time into the most misanthropic scenarios///almost all of the time......because within our nature....or falsified value systems...here while we still are here on this ever evaporating planet......we come to the conclusion the the minority rule over evrything all of the time..........

    • Fearful , socially disconnected individuals , cultivate greed , via the monetary value system . They have no real friends . Without wealth , they would not survive . They settle for power , since they have no heart to feel or connect with anyone else . That is just my theory , so far . If the economy was based on what people would willingly give or share , likable people would be better off .

    • This video is very powerful and very well done. It really makes you think about the question, Why? We all know the reasons, but the sad truth is that very few are willing to give up their material comforts their prestige in order to do what is necessary. We are like deer in the headlights of an oncoming truck. We can't get out of the way because we are in such shock and awe.

The music in the video is a perfect reflection of the emotional intensity of the horrible predicament that we are in. We live under the tyranny of evil men who use everything that we hold dear to mainpulate and control us.

Look at the fall out from 9/11 in terms of journalism. The most respected men in journalism whose careers were destroyed because they dared to call it like it is.

Peter Jennings (who died from Cancer....cancer induced through stress and cigarettes)
Tom Brokaw (who received death threats and Anthrax in the mail)
Dan Rather (who was given a deliberately falsified document as evidence to discredit him)

One reporter from each of the three major networks. I guess these guys had to be taken out so Fox could dominate the market of Infotainment News, besides being complicit with the Bush Regime from day one in distorting the reality so that the GOP could work their Mojo over the Christian right.

These misled masses need to be awakened but how? These people are so deep in the rabbit hole that the light of day must feel like the fire of Hades to them.

    • Some of my story. I post this as I have tried to reach A and E re: 9/11 for a while. Never able to get through. We need help. The cops here are corrupt.

      Background:
Staff physical therapist at three hospital in Florida, three in Maine and worked for a P.T. private practice and chiropractic private practice in Illinois. Set up my own private practice in 2002. In 1991 Entered (Maine Public Utilities Commission) Maine Public Service Company, Proposed Increase In Rates, Docket No. 90-281 as an individual to fight Maine Yankee Atomic Power Plant and it's proposed nuclear dump to be sited one mile from my house in Maine. Also testified at the Northern Forest Lands Council on May 19, 1994 where I was purposely censored after I had requested to be sworn in. (Mine was the only testimony sworn in). I then wrote up my testimony and sent it in, stating that I had been censored (the man in charge held his hand up and the lady stopped typing). On May 21, 1994 my life changed forever. My two children and I have been systematically harassed and tortured with increased intensity of torture added after I donated money to Howard Dean for his primary campaign (to end the war). The “Christ”ian military has been the instigator, electric companies, lumber companies /corporations. I currently have no income, have been put out of business (bugged phone, fax, house, stolen and broken equipment, set-up fake patients, etc) and the torture continues. My daughter was drugged and poisoned. My sister and baby-sitter have been killed. They are using the sewer and water pipes as well as wireless electricity, HDTV, cable. Notice all the water main and sewer breaks lately? Infrastructure bugging. Bad dreams piped in (started with military dreams and lately mind control techniques). I tried to post this to you (Architects and Engineers for 911 truth) in September 2009 and repeatedly since but my attempts were systematically blocked.

The amoral military industrial complex carries out unrestricted harassment, torture and killing of AMERICAN CITIZENS as well as planetary citizens round the clock to further the control and monetary gain of those who support it. During Dick Cheney's FIRST interview with Tim Russert after the 2000 election, Cheney stated that America would be going to war during his administration. Tim said the American people would not want war. Cheney said, 'you just get involved in one (a war) first and then the American people will go along with it'. (Tim Russert is now dead). In my experience the military industrial complex includes so-called “Christ”ians: Baptists, Mormans and Catholics (inclusive of nuns and priests), all who participate in and cover up the torture and murder of innocent American citizens. The military industrial complex also includes politicians and since homeland 'insecurity' has been enacted, whole towns/cities have gotten in the act. Innocent lives and their futures have been ruined. 911 was an inside job and I also believe we just witnessed the flattening of Haiti with HAARP. Four hurricanes in 2008 (fine tuning HAARP?) followed by this. A nice military base near the equator in preparation for the “ice age”? Perhaps William Cohen is the 911 Maine link and certainly should be questioned re: 911 and Haiti/ HAARP. HAARP should be closed. I need a criminal lawyer NOW to prosecute all the damage that had been inflicted upon my family, I and the world. We are tortured and harassed night and day. Help would be greatly appreciated. This US military/ corporation/ “Christ”ian citizen aggression needs to be stopped.

I'm not sure "enjoyed" is exactly the word to use in describing one's feelings about what she/he has just viewed. I sure didn't "enjoy" watching those poor humans jumping out of the WTC, and I didn't "enjoy" it when I saw it live, either. I didn't "enjoy" seeing those three people annihilated by weaponry.

But there was a point TO this video, yes?

Alas, I am going to go in a whole other direction. Not only was the copy nearly impossible to read in many places but, more importantly: I was totally distracted by the dozens of mistakes IN the text (spelling, punctuation, etc.). When something can't be edited to at least near-perfection, the result is nothing but seeming junk, no matter how important the message.

So, in this case, I gave up out of total frustration -- the text was poorly written, the text was difficult to read, the music was too loud, and I just plain didn't care for it. That's a damn shame, too.

    • Why do you attack people who have advocated for this earth and who write books about changing our planet for the better and call them traitors? Because 'they' told you to. So please don't preach to us here. You showed your true colors already when your "group" decided to hijack this site with its BS about global warming denial.

I do nothing because anyone told me to, hence the reason I don't identify with a person, or political party. You Jan, do exactly what the crowd you run with does and never think for yourself. You carry around personal vengeance on others whom don't share your opinion on certain topics or people, even when that person or organization has offered a helping hand to you on your pet projects. You refuse to look at both sides of an issue, research both sides and then make an intelligent decision base on the facts. Check my posts, they attack both the right and left side of corruption. My enemies are lies, disinformation, corruption, politicians, bankers and hatred. That's it. That's all. If you feel like you fit into one of those categories it's only because you put yourself there. My friends are the planet Earth, all of the animals, all of the plants, and humans that want to get along, work for what they have, learn from each other and leave the place better than how they found it. You're welcome to be on that side, if you like, but something about my knowledge of the Goracle's crimes seems to turn you hateful. So, the choice is yours, but as I see it, other than your ecological work, you, my dear, contribute to the problems we have in this country with your partisan and hateful politics. So, climb on down off of that high horse and be productive with your energy or I will not hesitate to bring the hammer down with my keyboard.

Of course he is, because he belongs to a group that spouts hypocritical BS. They walked into book stores where a good man was giving a book signing and yelled and cursed in his face, practically spitting on him, and then proceeded to go outside and BURN HIS BOOK like Nazis. And then people like him have the nerve to come here and play their games with all of us making us think they "care" about this planet and people. So in essence, since this one and his protege monkey man ( or perhaps alter ego) are from the same group, they are the same, and therefore they are phonies infiltrating this site to spread their phony propaganda to gain more recrutis. Some of us aren't as gullible as they think. I have supported Al Gore for over twenty years, and I can tell YOU that he is NOT who you think he is, and think your behavior is the direct antithesis to the BS you are spouting here. And THAT opinion isn't changing regardless of how many videos you post about "one earth." Humans are now doing all in their power to sever that sacred relationship, and that is what Mr. Gore writes about and gives us concrete solutions to solve. If you ever picked up the book you burned and actually read it you would see that. So again, please spare me your bogus stances here.

By burning crooks like Gore. Nobody told me to hate him for making money off of lies, I can figure that out for myself. When will you get it? I'm, again, also not against the planet or climate change. Climate change has been happening since the Earth began. I just don't believe giving money to Al Gore will fix the problem. Nobody can seem to show me any Science supporting the idea of giving money to Al Gore to fix the climate. Can you?

    • I wish I could vote this up, but someone, apparently, didn't like my articles and disabled my voting functions. They also disabled my edit functions and connections. ..because I have ventured to do differently.

When I began posting I decided I liked the freedom of taking entertainment from any place on the planet, and I would tell everyone here. The only limitation would be is that the artist had to be good. I simply exercised freedom.

One must make a choice. There is no middle ground. Either conform to the demands of the haters and the greedy in a political body, or exercise freedom and become its outcast.

It has to do with the browser you are using. I have had problems with IE8. Since the major update recently there have been problems but sometimes it comes back if you refresh the page, too.

I use Firefox most of the time and have few problems.
