ICE agents received information in 2009 about a location used to store marijuana and set up surveillance, said ICE spokesman Greg Palmore. Suspicious activity was observed, and a canine unit was brought to the location on Thursday.
Agents found 555 bundles of marijuana weighing 9,713 pounds inside a shipping container, but no arrests were made. In addition to ICE, agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Harris County Sheriff's Office, and Houston and Pasadena police were involved in the operation, Palmore said.

If an estimated $35+ billion a year is spent on Marijuana in the US, who amongst us is not showing your support for legalization? Who amongst us are Dr’s, Lawyers, Judges, Politicians, and professionals who are otherwise law-abiding-tax-paying United States Patriotic citizens? With all this confiscated Marijuana, why aren't more Americans supporting legalization?
Also take a look at the taxable income potentials for every state and city in America and ask yourselves why? Why? WHY? -> http://marijuanalobby.org
Why?

Although the loss is significant to the distibuter, MJ is a sustainable product that is easy and quck to manufacture. No matter how much is confiscated a batch twice the size will be ready in 90 days or less. just MHO.

Such a shame... though I find it funny they make all of these "busts" yet I can go to any city across America, at just about any time, and find me a bag of weed....
They have a hand in the drug money and I think it's deeper than anyone knows. - 2 years ago

I don't see any police officers going after big pharma for all of the High School and College massacres caused by children raised on ridalin and prozac. Pills that turn children into psychopaths are considered "okay" while a plant that cures cancer is "demonized." Perhaps we should rename the Earth and just call it Hell.

What a waste of good medicine. Think of all those cancer patients that could have been helped by this plant. Think of all the cancer victims that could have been cured by cannabis oil. It's funny, the Christian zealots will chastise Haiti for voodoo, but they lack the courage to stand up to a policy that is destroying God's creation. If you believe in God, then you have to admit that God created marijuana. It is a crime against nature and a crime against the Creator to make illegal a plant that grows naturally on the Earth.

Suspicious sounding indeed. Some vital part of the story is missing. Maybe somebody ratted somebody out?

Sounds suspicious, weed doesnt stay on the shelves, yet alone in a shipping container.

Doens't anyone ever connect the dots and say, oh thats alot and it isn't imaginary friends buying it. That much in one city should suggest a rather staggering level of consumption.

yes, there is alot of bud in Houston. We are really far from from any "legal" dispensaries but we still get fantastic bud even as far away as Cali.
