Or at least thats what the National Trust would like us to do 100 years after the great inventor died on January 27th 1910.

Thomas Crapper famously invented the lavatory ballcock, and so the National Trust will honour him be showing off their collection of toilets.

"From early Roman loos and silver chamber pots to the elaborate 'thrones' of the rich and famous, National Trust properties are flushing out the history of the humble lavatory to mark this anniversary.

Whilst Crapper invented the ballcock it is a common misconception that he invented the flushing toilet.

    • It seems OB-vious to me - that we should've had a fan pulling air in through the under-lip drain holes so that before flushing, all odors are vented out.

      But NO-O-o-o-o-o
