One of the women allegedly told police they decided to file the report because they "didn't enjoy the sex."
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the women reported they went outside their home at 255 Browning Road, Telford, when they heard barking dogs. Jessica Kathleen Alexander, 18, and Tammy Nicole Ortego, 29, said two men then threw them to the ground and raped them.
However, police said both women later recanted their original story.
They allegedly admitted they had met a man on a telephone chat line and then met him for sex. In exchange, the man - who police say was previously unknown to the women - gave them one pack of cigarettes.
The WCSO said Alexander advised they filed the report because they "didn't enjoy the sex."
Both women were arrested and charged with filing a false police report. Ortego was charged with an additional count of the offense in connection with a report of arson at her home on Nov. 11, 2009. She allegedly admitted to giving false information in that investigation as well.
Ortego was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond, while Alexander's bond was set at $5,000. They are each scheduled for arraignment this morning.
Police say an investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are pending.

The message I get from this is no, this wasn't as bad, for the men, as it could have been. But, the moral of the story is this is way to easy to do to any man and is under-reported. It's truly getting scary to date anyone without bringing witnesses. Maybe I'll start a chaperone service.

Unfortunately this is not an isolated occurrence of false rape accusation and prosecution of innocent men. There are also true victims of rape that will not get help they need thanks to the women who lie.

what's your point? it never said anyone was charged with rape. The article clearly says the creepy wywyn made accusations of rape and then it was discovered that the accusations were false and they were charged with filing a false police report. Therefore, the men were NOT charged because the charges were false.
so...not sure what your point is. did I miss something?

Nope, you didn't miss anything but apparently the people who posted below this did because the all went crazy on me saying I shouldn't find this funny because it ruined the men's life. I guess they missed the part of the article that said it was only 1 guy & he wasn't charged. I'm pretty sure he wasn't even questioned because if-I'm remembering the news cast correctly-the women didn't even know his name.

OH, I see. I think you just touched a nerve, Laura. The unseemly side-effect of the feminist movement has been to label all men as rapists, a fact pointed out by Walks_in_Storms, below. So, we now see that it's not just a theoretical attack, but has been implemented into policy. I think it was Walks_in_Storms who recentlyposted a story about how the police in an East Coast state released a document in which they essentially pointed out that in almost every situation of physical abuse involving a man--even when the woman started it or perpetuated it--the officer should probably consider the man to be the source of the problem because of "power differences", whether real or perceived. They gave about 10 scenarios, one of which the woman got mad at the man, beat him with a frying pan and attacked him with a knife, admitted that she had started it, but the recommendation was to investigate the man further because he had probably started it somehow.
The point being, there is an on-going assumption that the woman is an innocent victim and the man is the presumed criminal. The bigotry is open for all to see.
So it's really starting to lose any sort of humorous nature for many of us.

There is nothing funny about false rape charge. These men have their lives changed forever. This is not one single incident of false accusation based on personal disappointment or revenge and it is completely unacceptable.
It should be treated as unreasonable and socially unacceptable similarly to filing murder charges against the restaurant owner and chef claiming they tried to poison a customer who did not like the meal.

Wow! You guys went hardcore on this one! I posted it because i thought it was funny.
They BOTH traded sex for ONE pack of cigarettes & then were disappointed by the quality of the sex-REALLY? You thought the sex you were going to get in exchange for a single pack of cigarettes was going to be amazing? - 2 years ago

ah, well they should have asked for a CASE of cigarrettes. Now that would have inspired the guy to step up and really perform.
to be honest...looking at those mug shots...they were lucky if the guy was able to get it up at all. If i'd seen those two dogs undressed I might have required years of counseling before it'd ever work for me again.
"Ick" doesn't quite cover it.

Too little too late by police and the court system to repair damage done to men and fathers. We need a voice, a leader like King to mach all over America. We, the ordinary citizen men, deserve better treatment in jail or outside. We are not criminals. We are force to take the law in our own hand because the system victimize us even more.

I have been thinking, am I a victim of attempted murder because I did not like my dinner I was served. Should I file charges against the restaurant owner and chef because they tried to poison me? (Sarcasm)
