Anne Frank Too Racy for Virginia School District

Apparently scandalized by a young girl's honest words about several aspects of her own sexuality, a Virginia school district has removed Anne Frank's diary from its library. Not only does this dishonor Anne's memory, it illustrates how frightened some people in the United States are about women's sexuality. In an era where we are trying to afford all citizens equal opportunity, it seems hypocritical to censor a young woman who cannot defend her right to be heard, even after she was treated like an object during her life on earth. It was bad enough that the Nazis murdered Anne Frank. Must we now murder her memory?
