    • Well given that this is not a common occurrence, and given that Bush managed to do this kind of thing WITH teleprompters, I'd say that he is still a long way ahead of Bush in both intelligence and public speaking. So I think that a fumbling of words every once in a while when he's taking questions that he hasn't been prepped to answer word for word isn't a sign of idiocy or incompetence, but rather a part of being human and making mistakes. Even smart people do such things, the difference is that they usually do these things much less frequently than people who are stupid.

    • Amazing! Now he is starting to sound like his idiot predecessor! We always knew Obama was an empty suit- this proves it, yet again. All talk, no substance. "I think people are dazzled by Obama's rhetoric, andf that people ought to begin to understand that Obama is going to be a mediocre president- which means, in our time, a dangerous president- unless there is some national movement to push him in a better direction." (Howard Zinn, liberal icon, in the Nation, 2 weeks or so ago.) If liberal activist and icon Howard Zinn sees through the smoke and mirrors, let's hope that more Democrats will too. (but I wouldn't bet on it- their pandering to Obama and their praising his every deed makes them blind to his (fatal) flaws. Definitely a one term president..........
