To cheers from the audience chanting "Run Sarah Run" over and over, Sarah is asked if she has any plans to run again. She states that the Teaparty movement is "the future of politics in this country, and I am proud to be part of it."

It looks more like Sarah was back in high school reading the answers she had wrote on her hand during a Q&A
Was it because divine intervention was late or she wasn't listening during the lecture?

In the race of competition between Christian churches and dogmas we are beginning to see its candidates put forth on the bench ready to obtain world-wide political power. Is this what Jesus sent them to do? I believe NOT!
Or is it that the Whore of Babylon is prepared to raise her glass, filled with the blood of the true martyrs of Jesus? The forgotten and lost sheep of God? Any church or religion that wants to put its representative to occupy the power in the White House is imitating the Great Harlot that "governs over towns, crowds, nations, and languages."
Apocalipsis 17:6 - 15

It is interesting to me to see the reactions I am getting because of posting a comment in Spanish. I won't bring up private messages to save face for those who sent me messages. But I wanted to say that I posted the Spanish comment to prove a point. That some people in this country have a real problem with seeing information being provided in many languages. As in "English" is the official language or "those Latinos need to learn English if they want to live in America."
I personally think that learning many languages is a great thing, and I encourage every Latino to learn English. But don't ever feel like you have to give up your culture to live in the land of the free.
This reminds me of the recent Eastwood film called Grand Torino. Eastwood had thought he was justified in his prejudices and learns an extremely valuable lesson about multi-culturalism that moves him to accept and respect his neighbors cultural values even leading him to lay down his life to defend their rights to the pursuit of happiness from the assimilating power of gang violence in this country.

Absolutely not, I agree with you 100% jubal. I think it is amazing how this country still has traditions all over the place in which different groups of people still maintain their traditional languages.
It is amazing to see Cajuns in Louisiana speak Cajun French, Amish in Pennsylvania speak Pennsylvania Dutch (which is actually an old German dialect) and other groups maintain their roots.
The US is a country of immigrants, and it is beautiful to see immigrants hold on to these roots after generations. I grew up here in the US, but I am proud to speak perfect Spanish with a Cuban accent like my family has done for many generations.

Yes indeed UrbanGypsy, assimilation has to be a two way street. Immigrants come to this country and have had a multitude of opportunities. We have had fat times and we have lean times in this country, but each new wave of immigration brought many distinct groups, some even formerly at odds with each other, but in America....the great Melting Pot as some have called her....people get a sense of being part of something more, something great; Democracy and Freedom are very addicting. Give people these things and they flourish.
What I am against is this idea that everyone has to become a stereotype just to cater to people's unwillingness to open up their horizons and experience different cultures. Yes you feel foolish sometimes, yes you feel lost, but that is a big part of the fun of newness, its not so comfortable when you are experiencing it at first, you get more out of it in reflection as time goes by. People shouldn't have to give up their traditions.
If everybody was a cookie cutter clone of each other, what happiness is there in that? BORING!!! I love going to China Town or Little Italy, I love going to Christopher Street or even Sturges, South Dakota. So what if people who are like minded or culturally linked to agglomerate. It creates little pockets of culture that can create tourism and movement within a country that leads to greater economic reward for everyone. Money gets spent on small businesses, which have always been the machinery of America since it began. Today's Multinational Behemoths are not dinosaurs but monsters that can both enthrall and terrorize us without fear of much punishment from political leaders. It is to these giants that homogenizing America is to their advantage. They try to beat us into submission using media, hijacking our cultures, packing and selling us our culture. I mean imagine buying Peruvian Blankets made in China and sold in the USA?
America has already gone too far into multicultural waters that there is no going back without inciting a huge upheaval. People aren't going to stand by and allow that to happen, for things to go backwards. We already had a tower of babel that separated and scattered us into isolated groups, now that we are all being reunited in the Melting Pot, we need to get out of our comfort zones and embrace a different culture. I promise you, it will be rewarding and will make your life richer, and I don't mean money, I mean in the sense that you will be a much wiser person.

I was hoping Obama would be like JFK or FDR. But he is BHO and we are still seeing that unfold. I have been listening to him lately on C-Span, which in my opinion is about the only political station that doesn't spin what it spans.
Obama and Hilary were both at the National Prayer Breakfast. I listened to both of them speak. I consider them to be on the liberal side of JudeoChristianity, although they are more to the right in this regard than I am. However, I am all ears when I hear someone who is articulate and compassionate in their delivery of communication, especially when it relates to matters of faith. Both Obama and Hilary were exemplary in their speeches and touched on points that frankly in my opinion where big "catchetadas" on the faces of Christian Extremists in this country. They defended the movement of their administration to defend the rights of gays and lesbians and to elevate the status of the poor and the sick. What they promote as actions are exactly what I believe following Jesus should truly represent.
Much of our national discourse over the past 10 years has been influenced by religious interests, whether they be Christian, Jewish or Muslim. Each tries to influence our national agenda. Evangelical, Pentecostal and Zionist Christians are demonizing Obama as Hitler and the Antichrist, and many of these same so called Christians are a big part of this Teaparty movement. They are so full of a distorted religion that focuses on the violent administration of fear and law demanding that their narrow values be imposed over the masses and the minorities subjugated to their beliefs.
I am extremely motivated to work against this movement because to me it represents future violence against the Latino community in this country. Latinos are being scapegoated for Americas economic problems. Latinos are being demonized as job steelers, socialist parasites, dirty Mexican cockroaches that breed like vermin. And a double whammy for the Latino community is found when you couple the cultural taboo with a sexual orientation taboo. Gay Latinos are doubly marginalized because of the culture and their sexual orientation.
The Church in America, whether it is Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical, Pentecostal, Mormon, etc. have not accepted their responsibility to promote peace and unity among the larger body of Christ, instead they have pursued a system of competition and have now delved seriously into the arena of American politics that frankly is indistinguishable from the Muslims that demand theocracy.
When Palin says that the Teaparty movement is the future of politics in this country it makes me shudder. Her brand of love is like a sweet poison that kills you slowly like saccharine.

I don't think so. The whole basis of the movement is based on demonizing multicultural values. Jesus is not a white American.

Ever heard of China town, Little Italy, Greek town, the Quaker State, Little Cuba...
The US is and has always been comprised clusters of cultures where people gravitate toward those of their own ethnic origin. There is no difference between a group of Koreans, Irishmen, Arabs or angry white guys. It's a cultural clique that is simple human nature. Where have you been the past 250 years?
