Unless your sending this to Mars, it would be way easier and less expensive to simply walk over there and plant a seed by hand. This is probably the most useless invention I've ever seen.

I couldn't agree more. Just more garbage lying around. Does it biodegrade into the soil? If so, what effect does that have on it? Have we become that lazy? This was also posted here a while back if i remember right.

1) Who will supply the seeds and what kind of seeds would be used? GMO's, native flora, drought resistant crops?
2) Who will manage these new plants and educate proper stewardship to others when the plants begin their vegetative growth cycles?This is a fantastic idea but one that can easily be manipulated into a capitalist driven, genetic/ecological detriment to those societies already dependent upon scarce resources.
