Obama is an elected scapegoat.....the country was ready for revolution at the end of Bush's term and then Obama promised changed and we all were either awakening or in dire need of a wake up call....so we went out and voted for the hope of change from the corruption and lies we have been force fed....now all the problems that were created are out of control...no one can save us now....the powers that be recognize that...and gave us Obama...thus killing many birds with one stone: Calming the anger the american people have towards the govt , giving black people the illusion of equality in america, and when its all said and done and Obama cant do much for a sinking titanic...they've got a Black man to blame it on....Cuz we are angry and dont know who to blame....i swear the pulled that ol "kansas city shuffle" on all our asses

The reason retarded is offensive is because it was originally used as a slanderous term for those with mental handicaps. To say it's not offensive, coming from a 'normal' person, albeit with retarded thoughts, is like saying a white person using the 'N' word is not offensive.

Oprah and many other news figures, progressives included have called Obama, the anointed one, 'The One', Special and other Messiah like names. Benjamin Creme from Share International, a U.N. supported organization, is claiming that he is the Maitreya, a combination of all the world's Messiah's. Agreed, anyone doing this is a false prophet themselves.

@Device nailed it. Teabaggers came from a good place but they were demonized. I'm sure some of them are racists, but I love how Obama supporters are so quick to pull the racist card. Just sayin, maybe his policy is wack, and maybe, just maybe, it's got nothing to do with his skin tone.
Really tho, you are wasting our breath if your are using this site (owned by al gore) to complain about Obama. This article, the one about bush's "miss me yet" billboard and the one about Audi super bowl ad are all meant to get the liberal/green/democrats riled up and create a sense of unity in the face of adversity.

"I'm sure some of them are racists, but I love how Obama supporters are so quick to pull the racist card. Just sayin, maybe his policy is wack, and maybe, just maybe, it's got nothing to do with his skin tone."
Uh, the word is "whack"...
If it's got nothing to do with skin tone, then quit bringing it up! Simple enough.
But for many people, it's PRIMARILY about BO's skin tone (and the fact he's half-white has NO bearing on their thinking). Some people will NEVER accept BO as President, since the racism is so deeply embedded in them; they don't want a Black man staining the sheets of the White House.
Which is fine: you cannot easily change people's core beliefs. All you can do is not tolerate the airing of racist ideology, and oppose it whenever people feel empowered to air their racist ideology in public.
Great example is the military: members can think and believe whatever they want, but once they open their big fat mouth to air racist nonsense, they threaten military team integrity and espirit de corps: suddenly THEY become a threat to the mission. Do we want military members carrying weapons to think they can 'stir the pot' amongst their own side? Hell, no. (we've been there, done that: few are aware of race riots that have occurred in the military's past, before the military decided to cut the crap by prohibiting racist talk).
If any military members persists, they'll be explaining to supervisors why they think skin color is more important than keeping the team on mission (where the needs of the military come first, i.e. mission before self). If they continue with the rancor, they'll be discharged (and freed up to join a skin-head group).
Besides, Is there anyone here who DOESN'T know that racist speech is NOT protected under the "Free Speech" clause? It's called "hate speech", and has been outlawed under 'incitement to hatred' laws for decades.
Calling someone a name based on their political beliefs (true or not) is less morally repugnant, since it's a belief. Calling someone a racist name is ridiculous, since no one has control over their skin color (tanners and Michael Jackson aside, that is).

Let's not be slaves to dogma. Let's actually think. The word 'retard' is not offensive to me. Making fun of people with special needs is offensive. When people call tea baggers retarded, it just means stupid. How come nobody complains that we are offending actual people with low IQs when we use the word stupid? How come we don't go on a crusade when we call people dumb because people who cannot speak might be offended? How come when we call people 'blind' when they are ignorant of obvious truth, nobody complains saying that blind people will be offended? How come when politicians don't listen to their constituents, we say they lend a deaf ear, but nobody complains that deaf people will be offended.
Because we understand that words have more than one meaning and we understand which meaning is intended by the context in which people use them.
In our current culture calling someone retarded is the same as calling them stupid. It's an insult to the person being called retarded. We are not insulting people with actual special needs. Sometimes we take political correctness as dogma.
In closing: Teabaggers are indeed retarded. They are exceptionally stupid. They believe every easily dubunked lie ever told to them by the right-wing propaganda machine. They are allowing themselves to be used by corporate America and the right wing to slander our president. They are merely tools being used by the right wing for political gain, at great detriment to our society.

Great points.
Although it is a catch-22, because stupid people are often too stupid to realize they're being called stupid, and smarter people will remember that old saying, "sticks and stones". Besides, even smart people do stoopid (sic) stuff, too.
Point being, calling names is rather pointless, a form of ad hominem (personal) attack that MAY or MAY NOT be true. Throwing out labels often says more about the person throwing the label out, as it's not much of an argument (aside from when discussing where superior intelligence might be a reasonable prerequisite: we generally don't allow people of average intelligence to become brain surgeons, but it's seemingly OK for politicians/cheerleaders).

The author of this website is taking things out of context. Just because 99 percent fo the Tea Party movement are white Christians with only 8th grade educations and who have a fanatical (possibly even muderously pathological) hatred of our President...doesn't mean that the remaning 1 percent shares their views!
That's a generalization that's simply unfair to that 1 percent who only want Obama imprisoned for life and do NOT share the views of the other 99 percent of the Tea Party supporters who demand Obama be publically executed for being a sodomite Kenyan socialist.
Try to be more even handed Current.

Well, remember when Obama's fanatical supporters demanded that anyone who questioned his war strategy be tried for treason and murdered? Can you imagin? Just questioning the President led to people calling for them to be killed.
Ooops! Once again that was BUSH who pulled that bullshit. Do you remember?
And you accuse us of "worshipping" Obama? Bush supporters never got off their knees for 8 years in their embarrassing worship of the dumbest President we ever had!
When we said, "Hey! President Bush! Maybe spending 8 trillion dollars a year fighting a civil war in Iraq might be a bad idea for our economy." we were accused of high treason and the solution was that we should all be lined up and shot. All for daring to question the Conservative god-king known as W.

Heard Hannity refer to BO as "the anointed one" yesterday. Funny thing is, the more they repeat their insulting diatribes (socialist, etc) the more desensitized they become to their own insult. I've NEVER heard any BO supporter claim BO as their 'savior".
The thing is, the ilk of Beck/Hannity/Rush fail to realize how insulting their comparison of BO to Jesus Christ is to anyone who understands the basics of Christianity. ANY PERSON who claims a politician as the savior is a false prophet themselves, and don't contemplate how insulting this is to God/Christ, and those who know what a 'false prophet' is!

BO haterz came up with some pseudo-intellectual Islamic religious malarkey to transform that into "The Messiah".... Uh, is Oprah a follower of Islam, too, a practicing Muslim in your book?
Nice try, though.
BESIDES, even IF someone like Oprah DID call him "The Messiah", who the hell cares? She doesn't speak for anyone EXCEPT herself. Talk about a double-standard, saying someone cannot speak favorably of BO without facing accusations of trying to make him out as a God (when you clearly think he's a demagogue, a false prophet).
NEWFLASH: BO is none of the above, just a human MORTAL.

All that tricky stuff like designing planes, trains, and automobiles is a TAD beyond the ability of someone with Down's (as is stuff like driving, etc), and aeronautical engineering and nuclear medicine typically demand an attention to detail that, by definition, is completely lacking in those with Downs.
But anyway, I get your point....

Update on Downs Syndrome. I know 12 couples that are married, both with downs, and have children. They drive and work. Some of those with Downs Syndrome are like autistic people in the way that they can become masters of memory and math. My brother knows 3 languages and sign language fluently. He can tell you every actor and what movies they have appeared in, who was in the movie with them and what year the movie came out. ANY ACTOR/ACTRESS, ALL OF THEM. The major improvement over us that Downs have is the lack of prejudice and hate they show. Other than that, if raised alongside of normal children they only lag behind in some issues and can actually excel in others.

Yes, like Clinton's policy of forcing banks to write sub-prime mortgages had nothing to do with the housing bubble. Which was inflated to hide the damage from the Tech Bubble of the 1990's. All of this is done by the FED through inflation which is a hidden tax on all our heads and the cause of our current crisis. Meanwhile the FED's owners are laying claim to all the property in the US for the price of some green pieces of paper that they print or magically flash into existence with a few strokes of some computer keys.
The truth is that there has not been a president in the White House since Kennedy that was not a tool of the money interests, and look what happened to him for trying to put an end to our enslavement to the banks and corporations.
They are all puppets, and anyone who still believes the Republicans vs. Democrats BS is mentally inadequate.

So because Democrats are just as bad a Republicans, Clinton initiated the downfall of the American economy, and American presidents since the 1960's have all been puppets I'm not allowed to defend the current puppet from unfair blame?
We can blame Obama for all the crap that was done before he got there about a year after he's in office because he's a puppet and his corporate masters won't let him do anything he's not told?
I'm not defending the Democrats from ANYTHING except false criticism. I wouldn't expect even 8 years of problems to be fixed in 1, how do you expect 20 years of problems to be fixed in 1?
Instead of jumping on the back of the Republican badmouthing Obama for not waving his hands and immediately fixing everything, while calling liberals out for voting for him, you get on my case because apparently I'm not allowed to say he deserves a fair shake before we unfairly criticize him.
That said, my expectations are not high, and haven't been for about 6 months. He IS a puppet, but that also doesn't mean I'm just going to blame him for everything because he's the current puppet. I blame him for what he's done or has failed to do when it counts: during the next election (that is, if I'm even allowed to vote by the "corporate people" our supreme court gave rights to).

Yeah, calling BO a communist, socialist, foreign-born, nigger, etc only distracts from the REAL challenges we face. It's noise, pure and simple, a stoopid (sic) distraction.
It sure seems some would say BO is fiddling while Rome burns, but instead of trying to put out the fire themselves, they are quite content to write music reviews claiming BO's a sucky foreign-born fiddler. Thanks guys, THAT'S really helpful.

Ridiculous, lifestudent and davidod. To admit that Barack is guilty of being a puppet and is no different than past Presidents but then return to say, "But hey, he wants to be good, but his hands are tied!" is infantile nonsense. Like the others, he knew he was to be a puppet when he got in office and would be the 'face' of just as many crimes against Americans and the world. You refuse to allow critique of this man because of a personal desire not to admit that you fell so damn hard for his BS.
You are not protecting the Man, essentially, you are protecting your own pride and thus will ignore all reason and use silly name calling to defend the President (Your own self worth). Those of you who blindly deny the socialist background of his staff and the man, himself, are like mirror images of those who have done so in the past.
The weakest of your defenses is the racist issue. Nobody would be ignorant enough to believe that racism doesn't exist but people of all walks of life feel an uneasiness and are growing impatient with the criminals from both parties and from Wall Street. Throwing names at the Republican party and using silly, baseless claims neither helps this country nor calms the tensions that are sure to get worse in step with the economy.
Your education and logic will always be incomplete until you figure out that it's the People VS Washington, not blue vs red, Democrat vs Republican. The two party system is a psychological ploy to give Washington the upper hand and to keep the peasants arguing over BS. It used to be the difference between the peasants and the upper class was access to books and education. The upper class now keeps the education and knowledge of these things to themselves not by hiding the information but just by entertaining the peasants so they'll be too lazy to understand the truth.
Don't let the knowledge to continue to hide from you. I get so exhausted trying to save peasants from their two-party mental handicap. Please, Davidod, concentrate and print this out so I can spend more time learning and less time teaching.

Being that I've not registered with ANY political party, and don't even consider myself aligned with ANY political party you've got, I'll still keep your lil' edumacation (sic) in mind.
PS before I forget to say it: thank you for your enlightened insights radiating from such a wise and ancient soul. May I have another one of your masterful lessons, just to be privileged to be bestowed by your truthful words and brilliant insights? : )

In one comment on this post you say.....Your side came up with some malarkey to somehow transform that into "The Messiah".....then minutes later you say.......Being that I've not registered with ANY political party, and don't even consider myself aligned with ANY political party you've got,......
To say 'your side' in one sentence and then in the next claim to be not on sides with any party is asinine.
BTW, I, obviously believe both parties are illegal an not representing the 'People', so the only side I am on is that of the citizenry.
Consider your second lesson complete.

Dude, are you for realzies?
If I were to say that someone who's a huge fan of some African soccer team (e.g. Senegal?) is obviously on their "side", how does that statement imply that I'm taking the side of one of their opponents (whom I'm not even aware of)?
Brilliant assumption, Sherlock. Thanks for the schoolin'.
PS you inability to find any proof where Oprah called BO "the Messiah" is duly noted. So you're zero for two.

References from many people calling Obama, the Anointed one, The One, a Higher Being, etc. are as easy as a google away. I won't waste my time on trivial, easily provable nonsense that will in no way enrich the argument or anyone's mind.
Your posts are all pro-progressive, anti-Christian, anti-Republican, pro-Democrat. So, your statement ...Your side came up with some malarkey to somehow transform that into "The Messiah"...logically implies that you were positioning yourself on a 'side'.
Lesson 4 complete.
PS You inability to to argue anything but LIBERAL points and taking sides in a side-less battle makes your typing a waste of bandwidth.
However, for your entertainment purposes:

No, but most of us Tea Party Protesters ( as in the Boston Tea Party, for those who are ignorant of American history ) are American. Some, in other countries are not. But what we all are is sick of being enslaved by the political class for the sake of the corporations that have bought them. Anyone protesting the protesters is just a unwitting slave.
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."
~Johann Wolfgang von GoetheThe Tea Party movement started as a fund raising event by grassroots supporters of Ron Paul's 2008 presidential campaign. The movement has been infiltrated by some Republicans who still believe the Republican vs Democrat false dichotomy. But anyone who believes that there is any difference between the Reps and the Dems is mentally challenged. These infiltrators are not wanted by the Tea Party's founding core - those of us who know that the RepubliCrats are in this together for their own benefit and the benefit of their money masters.

You don't remember the big deal made of 'Chris', the black tea partier, that showed up with a rifle over his shoulder. It shows a lack of education to make this a racist thing. Funny, that's why most racists are that way, lack of education. Being anti White Christian is racism too and should be looked at with just as much disgust. All racism and sexism is wrong so don't be giving yourself high fives for being 'down' WITH black people if you are also down ON white people.
As far as I can see, the only people who aren't unhappy with Washington are those who are too engrossed in television or too stupid to know any better or in denial.
I know a good shrink for anyone calling a PATRIOT bad names. Believe me, you need one.

I love this pix:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ymkfNB3shbw/S1J6fW8D5tI/AAAAAAAAK6g/Z-j8hgde9NU/s1600-...
This was a two-fer, taken at a Tea Party Rally in Wisconsin (check out the crowd, too).
Note the white-face imagery of BO (with the caption "socialist"), and in the other, the Communist 'Hammer and Sickle' being used to form the 'O' of Obama's name.
Either way you cut it (whether the white-face serves as as a sly racist attack, or comparing BO to the "Joker", a mass-murderer sociopath), it's all insulting.
And since when has comparing the President to a murderous sociopath or a Communist become less offensive than using racist imagery?
So once again, morons parrot concepts and mouth words they cannot even define (as heard on their AM radio)....

And Webgrafix...One of your signs talks about lack of knowledge of world history. Your comments and pictures show to me that you could use a World History lesson. Parroting Presidents and even drawing them in a less than flattering manner IS American History. As a matter of fact the early Presidents endured much worse than this.
Additionally, you should research Obama's history, his staff's history and the books they've written before claiming anyone is wrong about Obama and Socialism. Did you miss the buyout (government) of GM? Did you miss reading the Health Care bill.
I personally don't believe you've read it or the books from Obama's staff.
You're welcome to test my knowledge of this by responding with your typical juvenile, name-calling, information-less diatribe of a post.
