I don’t believe Palin has any serious intention of running. I think she enjoys being a media persona more than a politician. She is obligated to say that she is open to running or people may lose interest in her.

Which is exactly why some extra people will be registering Republican just in time to vote in the 2011 primary.

THis is about nothing but a last-ditch effort for her to help spur on the sales of "Going Rogue". She's been on a massive promotional tour for the book for months, and she knows any such tough talk MIGHT help sell a few more copies.

Fact is, the local Fox radio affiliate is running ads from a company selling her book for $4.99 (vs $24 list). If that's not a red-flag for "not selling as well as hoped", I don't know what IS.

It's all about selling a declining asset before it becomes worthless (bargain bin red-price), and Palin knows any controversy is only going to help sell books. Before this is over, don't be surprised to see her photographed standing in one of those tax preparer firms "Lady of Liberty" costumes, flipping a sign on a street corner.... Anything to get attention.

The people have not learned a thing yet from past election entertainment parties. AS for intelligence, I am an stupid, but from where I sit and listen neither of these two are brilliant or geniuses.
