Very true, but i think we can all recognize the history and standard First Ladies are held to. They often tackle "safe" subjects/reform. Even Hillary based her health care reform ideas on the children first when Bill was in office.

What kids? Judging from your old pic, aren't you like 16? Regurgitating the bitter brew the grown up teabaggers fed you. I recognize she could be focusing on other things, but what's wrong with telling kids it's important to play and exercise as well as learn? I'm conservative about many things, but that's no reason to be negative ALL the time.

    • I enjoyed the urban farmer who was advocating for community farming during the campaign launch this morning. He made a comment about eating "food our grandmothers would not recognize as food". Now he was an older gentleman so being applied to me it would be my great-great-grandmother who would not be able to tell the difference between a melted candy bar and poop. How can something so tasty look so wrong?

    • That's hard to do unless you confront the industry spraying pesticides on our food. Even people who eat healthy gain weight because the liver cannot function properly in disposing of toxins because there are so many on everything we eat. If you really want to tackle obesity you better be willing to stand up to the Monsantos of this world poisoning us.

Wow, someone here is just plain politically biased. How about the coward (s) who hit the minus button having the guts to state why anything stated here deserved to be voted down using this clique comment rating system.

FACT: the liver is the organ that detoxifies the body, and scientists have done research asserting that through the ingestion of more and more pesticides and toxins that the liver must work harder to detoxify the body, thereby potentially being a factor in obesity.

FACT: pesticides are sprayed on our food now more than ever, and many of them either have been or are now marketed by Monsanto.

FACT: you must stand up to these interests to get to the root of the problem .

Now you come back and refute this and state why it isn't "worthy" to be a comment here on Current. Let's see some discussion instead of hiding behind a button.
