U.S. Government Expected To Regulate "Greenwashing" Marketing Campaigns

Environmental terms are tossed around in marketing campaigns, without clear definitions, and corporations easily manipulate (or “greenwash”) their public image without backing up their claims. In upcoming months, the federal government is expected to look more closely at this issue.

    • I'll bring some sanity to these comments. First of all we probably do need some regulation of the often used marketing term 'green'. I don't think we need to government to define what green should mean but I do believe there is a lot of profiteering from 'green' products. Maybe there should be some type of ratio between green production versus 'dirty' production that a company makes (i.e. if your product is made in China and shipped to the US that is not green).

    • This whole "green" movement is based on the fraud of global warming and co2 emissions. Climategate woke the world up to the fraud that the elitists are. Truth will prevail over tyranny and corruption infowars.com

      Regardless of how you feel about man made-climate change, the truth of the matter is we as humans are responsible for destroying many ecosystems, causing many species to go extinct, and polluting just about any location we occupy. This "green" movement is more then just a conspiracy to tax everyone broke. There is a good portion of the world's populace that would like to change the path we are on, for the sake of living responsibly and respectfully with this planet and the numerous other occupants. This "green" movement is more then your daily dose of politics. We have to think sustainably. Burning fossil fuels, producing tons of petroleum based items, layering the agriculture with pesticides, degrading the livelihood of animals for own consumption, and numerous other practices must end unless we are planning to bring on our own demise. In that respect, it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy for religious followers and believers of the apocalypse.
