    • RIGHT ON MICHELLE! I've always said that this should be a child protective services issue.
I know this is extreme, but after all, if you stab your child, you're guilty of putting their life in danger. Yet as it stands, if you feed them to death, you're not even questioned! Amazing...

    • I think this is great. Childhood obesity leads to so many other health problems later on in life. I read the article and I totally commend the First Lady for cutting back on the sugary drinks and snack foods for her daughters. Soda, however delicious it is and however much I miss it, is insanely unhealthy. I wonder though, how much the Let's Move Campaign has emphasized exercise in all this? In order for this to work, there has to be more extra-curricular/sports activities for children. In my girlfriend's hometown, budget cuts have forced elementary school districts to remove after school sports. Although most children (in this district) are scheduled for P.E., this time also coincides with band practice. Therefore, the children who are in band do not participate in P.E. A horrible decision, I think. I hope that the Let's Move Campaign gives funds to schools or community centers to encourage physical activities for children.

    • Good for her. Though the biggest problem that I see will be the parent's who don't want to actually do anything but plug their kids into the TV.

True. In that case, it's the TV that does the parenting. Children these days are getting lazier, and parents need to ensure that their children get some form of exercise throughout the day.
