Senator Rockefeller: Obama is starting to not be believable

curtisreed
Senator Rockefeller, who hails from a Coal-state, said in a hearing that he is no longer able to believe Obama, who repeatedly says he's "for clean coal", but his actions don't match his words.

NO KIDDING. It's great. Even the Dems are starting to realize that Obama is a lying, incompetent ideologue who will say anything that is plitically expedient but cannot be trusted at all.

well, can you blame him for giving Obama the benefit of the doubt? I don't. Rock is a Dem, and he just ignored all the stuff people were finding out about Obama and decided to wait and see.

Now he's had time to assess Obama's ability to speak out of both sides of his mouth, he's heard the slimey whisper of his forked tongue, and he's finally concluding that Obama is full of shit.

      Welcome aboard, Senator.

    • Puleeze! My grandfather died from black lung from the mountain state's coal mines. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CLEAN COAL. Just look at West Virginia's history of being pimped by the coal industry with it's influence on local politics, poor health, poverty level economics and it's obvious a lot more has to be considered than what Obama says. Course that's OK with you CONSERVATIVES who benefit from this. You want to conserve things just as they are. FUCKED UP!

"clean coal" doesn't mean no one got dirty extracting it, genius.

We can burn coal with only a tiny fraction of the contamination we had in the past. And we fricking need the damn energy. You liberals will have us all enslaved to foreign energy pimps unless we start exploiting every energy source we can. Nuclear should be used as well.

What kills me is the totally braindead approach to renewable energy from the left. You guys act as if solar and wind farms are environmentally neutral, but have you any idea how much land has to be cleared and converted for those wind/solar farms? Hundreds of thousands of acres.

it's a fantasy to think that it doesn't have any impact on the environment.

    • I'm going to say this one more time (actually maybe 100)

Obama is not a liberal! He is not a socialist
      He is a centrist.
If you want to see real socialist look at Iceland, costa rica, canada, france, etc

either the people below me are lost in the culture war or people in america are really that dumb.

You can say it 100 times or more and it doesn't change the facts. Barack Obama is the most far left wing President in the history of the United States. But keep trying, please.

Really?? I would've have said FDR. I lived under a socialist nations president (Jaque Chirac who was considered a conservative in france, just fyi) I can tell you that Obama is nothing like either, and I doubt he can be unless goldman sachs is ready for obama to go "che" on them. I thought the bank bailout was a clear indication of that or when he danced around the issue of socialized medicine in various speeches, these are not the actions of a true socialist, just your average american lawyer/businessman politician.
